bobontheblue Posted March 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2013 On the Sapphire to Alaska has any one ever booked the ocean view cat. with limited access balcony. If so were you able to use your balcony in Glacier Bay. To what extent do they limit your access, is it worth the extra few dollars from reg ocean view to this location at the front of the ship.
Pam in CA Posted March 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2013 The balcony door will be closed and locked while the ship is moving so you will be unable to use it. They might make an exception for glacier viewing but usually, the balcony is unavailable. There's no furniture on the balcony so no where to sit. caribill Posted March 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2013 Also, when it is dark outside you must keep the curtains fully closed if there are any lights on in the room. The bridge requires no light coming out from these cabins as light interferes with their ability to scan the seas ahead properly.
