Megan's Bay - plan

We have been to Sapphire and Emerald beaches multiple times, but have never done Megan's Bay. We have a 10 year old son and 13 year old daughter. What is the best way to get there without spending too much and suggestions once we are there?

The best way is taxi. Once there it's a nice beach, framed by a long peninsula on each side with an island out in the distance. Plenty of boobies (the bird type) and pelicans when I was there. The beach is a mile or so long with plenty of open space and also shade. There are restrooms to the west of the entrance and a grill with picnic tables. You can swim, wade or lounge.

Taxi, you'll pay $4pp for entry, not sure if there's a discount for the youngest. We stay at the Sapphire Resort and while on STT last Jan we visited Magens since we hadn't been there in several years. We were touring different beaches like Secret Harbor, Elysian's and the Ritz in Cowpet Bay, and a couple areas and decided to Hit Magens too.

The water is very calm and has easy entry, and it is a very nice beach. The south end may be quieter since there are no amenities there, and the north end is typically crowded to the end as there are restrooms and tables there. There was one smaller ship in port that day and it was much more crowded than Sapphire gets so we didn't stay long. But you should go and enjoy Magen's for yourself, there's a small grill and gift shop and chair rentals are available along with stand-up paddle boards. No snorkeling and it doesn't have the water colors or island views of Sapphire but a nice calm beach. Looks gorgeous from the hilltop.
