bandt Posted April 28, 2013 #26 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Hi Guys We'll look out for a "cocktail party" on the notice board. Craig - Tony & I did a private tour from Alexandria to Cairo which took in the Museum...... our guide (who joined us in Cairo) was fantastic and we got a whole new perspective of the Museum (which we had already visited)..... hope you can do it this time. An FOD lunch on one of our many sea days sounds like a lot of fun. We shall be spending the weekend in Sitges before the cruise. We used to have an apartment there but now will be staying in a hotel and visiting local friends. All the best for your travels. See you on board. goodclicks Posted April 29, 2013 Author #27 Share Posted April 29, 2013 Pleased to hear that you really enjoyed the museum. I really can't be bothered with the pyramids and the dirt and hassle of Cairo again (sounds so blasé and awful when i'm so fortunate to have seen them already) so the museum is the only reason to repeat that long drive. I know it's time is limited and I want to see it while in it's ramshackle state rather than the glossy new one which may, or may not, open over the next couple of years. You'll have to fill me in on Stiges. Not a place I've been yet. One of these days I'll get there - probably pre or post-cruise. See you soon!
