Here is an updated list. We have a couple of cabins now showing as being less than ideal so I am now highlighting more clearly when this is reported

Hi, uktog, you left out my report, post #41 on Cabin 6077.

Hi

Cabin 6051

Ship Quest

Month Sailed April 2013

Would you cabin choose again.. Y

Is noise an issue ..N

Balcony size.. Normal

Comments: I am a bad sailor but never felt seasick at all on this trip, maybe due to midship, mid-deck. In fact, never felt ship leaving port or docking....must be something to do with Captain Carl!!!!!and his amazing 3 point turn in Seville was brilliant!!!!

Debating between these two deck 7 (V3 ) cabins. One forward and one aft. I don't think noise should be an issue with either one? However, might I expect a smoother ride with aft cabin? First time on Azamara!

Hi everyone.

we are sailing on Azamara Journey from Mumbai to Athens next April and have been allocated cabin 6083. Has anyone any views on this particular cabin or area of the ship?

Many thanks

Thank you everyone who has contributed since the last update

Apologies if I miss any rooms out, its not intentional, no censorship here just incompetence on the part of the spreadsheet author from time to time

Please keep giving your updates to help future cruisers

7040 on Quest. Inside cabin. Never again!

Very noisy, especially early morning. Directly opposite a crew door, which was on a spring mechanism and it slammed shut constantly. Azamara were aware of the noise issue in this cabin and changed it for me with no problem.

Changed to 7055, also an inside cabin, which was very peaceful and quiet.

This was my first time in an Inside cabin on any ship and I found them quite acceptable. Prefer a Balcony naturally, but I think I would book an Inside again.

Totally agree. We had the neighbouring 7043 on Journey and the crew started using the pantry door across the corridor at 6.am. Slamming is the right word. We also informed the HD. We are having 7055 for our next cruise and so glad to hear that it was peaceful.

:)Rather do a B2B inside than just one cruise on a balcony:)

Have been in several staterooms on deck 4 including 4058, 4051, 4045 and 4056 - all convenient for guest relations, Mosaic, mdr and tenders. No noise issues although tenders may come past the window and gangplank was once adjacent to 4056 with possible loss of some privacy.

6051 standard balcony stateroom (last balcony before lifeboat/tender). We did experience some noise if late night entertainment in Mosaic - however the entertainment has been moved to the Casino Luxe so should no longer be an issue)

7023 standard balcony stateroom - no issues.

8001 standard balcony stateroom (a dubious upgrade) no noise issues but near misses in corridor from adjacent outward opening door from bridge and officer accommodation - nearly flattened by Eric - some might think that a bonus!

8010 standard balcony stateroom (connecting stateroom) no noise issues from adjoining cabin - a very little noise from deck/storage area above on deck party day. Convenient for lift, Looking Glass, Econnections, Spa etc. An armchair instead of sofa but we felt it gave us more room.

6004,6005, 7006,7007 - not used but we understand that these have the benefit of the inside space a balcony would have provided - have booked one of these in the past but were upgraded so never found out - does anyone know if this is the case?

Recently back from excellent cruise on Quest although we are not sure that it still represents the value for money it used to.

We are in 7043 on Journey in July and are naturally concerned about this cabin. It was allocated as an Cat 11 GTY has anyone any advice regarding changing cabins - we are in the UK and I know on RCCL and Celebrity they don't allow a free cabin exchange, even within the same category. Who should we speak to to about our concerns?

Thank you in advance,

Marylyne

Let me emphazise that apart from the door slamming in the morning the cabin was perfect. I don't know what they use this room for, but I guess it is some kind of storage. You can clearly hear the door shut with a mechanical noise every time they enter or leave the room. If there are available inside cabins on deck seven I would try to get 7055. Other cabins might have similar problems, i.e close to the laundry. Can't see any reason for Azamara refusing to move you if you forward a request. If not, -don't worry. You will have a perfect cruise anyway. The noise is not THAT heavy, just irritating.:)

Thank you Oddjob for your words of reassurance, as this is our 1st Azamara cruise we are really looking forward to the experience. We haven't had a bad cruise yet and our glass is always half full :) and will certainly be so on this cruise - cheers!

I will take it to the HD when we get on board next week. It might be enough to put some rubber tape in the lock. If there where no other cabins available I would gladly take 7043 before moving down to deck 4 or 3. :)

Thank you oddjob you are very kind, I'm going to ring Azamara on Monday but in the same category it's 7002, 7003 6010 or 6011 so I think 7043 might be better as it's more midships.

Kind regards

Marylyne
