Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #176 Share Posted March 24, 2013 The bartenders would mix you any drink you want, using the drinks available. Most of the time I had a red and beers. They had Heineken, Bud and Miller Lite.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #177 Share Posted March 24, 2013 This was during evening hours. The cold food is the same every day. The warm food changes.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #178 Share Posted March 24, 2013 This is typical of what I get at the Diamond Lounge. A glass of red, with some savoury food plus lots and lots of salad sticks. I love those cucumber, carrot and celery sticks.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #181 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Having a coffee with some desserts in the Diamond Club. In case you’re wondering, those desserts were from the Park Café.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #182 Share Posted March 24, 2013 I can’t find Miller Lite in a Singapore supermarket. It was good.

gooners1968 Posted March 24, 2013 #184 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks for your review. Having only been on bigger ships I loved looking at the photos. ...planning more trips without our DS on the smaller ships.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #185 Share Posted March 24, 2013 With the retrofit, I believe they have introduced pervasive Wi-Fi throughout the Legend. However, I didn't use it, so I can't comment on how good it was.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #186 Share Posted March 24, 2013 A sunny afternoon, Day 3, sea day. Singaporeans don’t like the sun too much, we get too much of it. Almost all the passengers sun-tanning were Caucasians.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #188 Share Posted March 24, 2013 For this cruise, the seas were very calm, and the weather very hot, humid and sunny. That’s the tropics for you.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #190 Share Posted March 24, 2013 I could almost feel the searing heat, looking at this photo.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #191 Share Posted March 24, 2013 After 2 sea days, our first port of call would be Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. This was the first time that the Legend of the Seas had called at this port. In fact, this port was added very late, only about 2-3 months before the sailing date. Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #195 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Puerto Princesa was a virgin port for Royal Caribbean. We couldn’t find any reliable private tour operators online, so we went with a ship’s tour.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #197 Share Posted March 24, 2013 View of the ship, from the bus. Many passengers took ship tours, and the situation was rather chaotic at the That’s Entertainment theatre, early in the morning. Our tour had a total of 14 buses! This turned out to be quite a nightmare later on, due to capacity constraints at the Underground River attraction that we were all going to. Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #198 Share Posted March 24, 2013 More cruise passengers waiting for their coaches. For our tour, the meeting time was 6:45am. So, we had a very early start to the day.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #199 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Puerto Princesa was still rather undeveloped. It did look rather poor. A shame, really. Some history. The Philippines was the richest and most developed country in South East Asia in the 1960s. Today, it is probably one of the poorest, if not the poorest. What happened? Iluvcruising2 Posted March 24, 2013 Author #200 Share Posted March 24, 2013 The tour guide told us that this was called a Taxicycle, short form for Taxi-motor-cycle.
