rydan Posted April 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Has anyone sailed NCL over Holloween? Curious to see if they have special activities set up for the kids
dreamr Posted April 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2013 I just booked a Halloween Breakaway cruise for 2014. Did some research and it seems like (at least on the other ships) they DO celebrate Halloween. Decorations, costume contests, etc. Ours just so happens to fall on a Friday night at sea... so I can't wait to see what they do that night! :D Not sure about kids, sorry... but I would imagine that they would, since they do seem to have celebrations for the adults. It would only make sense that they'd do something for the kids as well.
flowers44 Posted April 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2013 My DD and I were on the Gem on Halloween in 2010. The kids had a parade in their Halloween outfits. They had their faces painted if they did not have a mask. They seemed to be stopping at different spots on the ship and doing their Trick or Treating. I think they had special happenings in the kids club area also. Some adult passengers dressed up. The trivia games were Halloween related as were some of the foods and desserts. There were simple decorations all around the ship. Nothing was really over the top and everythings was down by the next morning.
DGP1111 Posted April 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2013 I enjoyed spending Halloween 2012 onboard Norwegian Sky. It was a lot of fun. :) There was a quite large costume contest in Dazzles, and that evening the entire casino crew/staff was in costume as well (some rather elaborate). Around the ship there were Halloween decorations. A few of the food offerings in the buffet offered a theme as well. . . . . . When I finished that sailing, I boarded Norwegian EPIC. Even though Halloween had just passed, they chose to offer a themed cake at the buffet that first day . . . which I thought was a really nice touch. . .
