Several cruisers that got off Splendor today already posted on shipmate app. All had a great time, loved the ship and had no problems:) They said she was very easy to navigate, unlike all other reviews have said. Grand Turk was great and nobody got sick:D They say we're going to love this ship!! Finally some good things. They also said staff was very friendly, so don't understand the mixed reviews, I guess to each his own!!

Yes there is one night deck party and the chocolate buffet is on the last day but its in the afternoon not @ night.

I just bumped up to a Spa cabin and now I'm wondering what is better..... a Spa cabin or a Suite? ??? Loved our last suite but I was really looking forward to doing the spa stuff. With a casino rate the upgrade was only $11 pp more than buying a spa pass and staying on deck 6. I may have just answered my own question. Thx.

down to one deck party... and chocolate mess in the afternoon Sun, think I'll be missing that one, the kids will take that over quickly.

But that midnight buffet was a bit to much, But very pretty! I remember on my last Miracle cruise out of NY, My husband thought he was being very nice, and brought me chocolate covered bananna's and strawberry's out to the back pool, want to talk about a mess, (but that was with the chocolate fountain)

I've read that the aft wraps on 6 are noisy. What are everyone's opinion?

If you mean noise from the lounge below, they used to have music there at night. Now they use it for the comedy shows. I would think that won't be as noisy. If you are talking about noise from the wake or the azapods, IDK I've heard yes and know. We are in an aft wrap on 6 in June - we'll let you know!

This is incorrect. There are two deck parties, blue iguana and redfrog, one night between the two. I didn't keep my fun times but have video from both. One is a Latin theme with the other more traditional line dances. This was on the March 31st cruise. As far as the "midnight" buffet, we went to look for it and it ended at midnight rather than 1.

I just got off the Splendor yesterday.I have the funtimes but don't know how to scan.

This was my 15th Carnival cruise and possibly the best one yet.

I don't understand the negative reviews.People must be alot fussier than my DH and I.We thought the service was top notch and the crew were the friendliest ever.Mr V the maitre d was by far the best I have ever sailed with.He called us by name every time we walked in the dining room and always came over and spoke with us.Our servers and cabin steward remembered our names after the first greeting.

Loved our inside spa cabin and the Tpool and thermal heated loungers were wonderful.

Carnival still delivers an awesome product at a great price.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Yes, the threads I read talk about music being so loud you could sing along with it while you were in the room!

But if they are now doing comedy in there, it might be different! Good to hear that.

That's what I've heard from recent cruisers. I don't think a little laughter will bother me much and they will probably be done by the time I'm ready to go to sleep! I plan on hanging out on that balcony and watching the stars!

I may be reading this incorrectly, but I thought the Splendor didn't have the Blue Iguana and the Red Frog Pub - or is that just what they called the parties. Either way - sounds like fun!

I would stick with the spa cabin (that's what I have booked) - CCL's suite benefits are pretty much non-existent (other than a larger cabin). I'm going to enjoy the relaxing spa instead!!

Thanks Cyber Kat, Love the noise from the wake and engines. Usually go to bed pretty late, so noise from below wont be much of an issue either. Come to think of it, my DW snores so loud a train could pass over head and I wouldn't hear it :D

LOL - mine too - which is why I wasn't concerned about the noise! I bring these ear plugs just in case

And we live near RR tracks - the trains don't wake me, a little noise on a boat won't wake me either. ;)
