Administrators Rare LauraS Posted April 12, 2013 Administrators #76 Share Posted April 12, 2013 Two questions: 1. Is this app available to the 80 million BlackBerry users? 2. Can anyone explain why the app would be better than the full site on my iPad? The full site is lightning quick on my iPad and the only disadvantage (lack of full keyboard) is not something an app could solve. I just can't imagine how an app could be better than the real deal. Hi! No, it isn't available to Blackberry users at this time. Neither was Tapatalk actually. I find myself alternating back and forth when using my iPad. For example, when clicking on links in notifications, your iPad browser is utilized. I'll sit, read, browse and have no issues and it doesn't feel cumbersome to me However, when I just want to poke around the forums, look at new posts, etc. I always open the app itself to do this. I agree, the forums do look great on in their original form on an iPad, plus our tech team is doing a fab job on access and speed lately! Hats off to them (heads up to Sean and Danny ) Laura
Administrators Rare LauraS Posted April 12, 2013 Administrators #77 Share Posted April 12, 2013 I'm using the Android version on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10. When I click the menu icon (3 horizontal bars) when a thread is displayed, Subscribe is one of the options. Unread posts are displayed with bold titles. How does the regular Taptalk app display unread posts on your Kindle Fire? Sounds like the Kindle Fire version has some issues. I've asked the tech team for assistance. Stay tuned. I'm talking about the Android version for my Droid Charge. When I hit the menu option, Subscribe is not an option; also...unread posts are not highlighted. I may uninstall/reinstall the app to try again. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
tripkat Posted April 12, 2013 #79 Share Posted April 12, 2013 This is strange because the CC app is a branded version of Tapatalk the features should all be the same. When you open a topic (thread), clicking on the icon located in the upper right that looks like an arrow inside a box will reveal a selection of options, one of which is SUBSCRIBE. The post count located under the op's avatar will either be dark blue or 'white'. White = read. I'm not seeing what you are seeing when opening the entire list of threads.... Thanks for your feedback...I am going to try reinstalling app. Also...is there a version for Kindle Fire....not seeing it in their app store. lettienets Posted April 12, 2013 #80 Share Posted April 12, 2013 I like tapatalk because you can bring in other chat forums to the same app. The chat forums appear in a list. Nice to have them all in one place.
