Travelling to Hampton Court

Recommended Posts

I would like to take a day trip to Hampton Court from Victoria Station. Ideally I would like to boat down the river and take the train back. Is there a way I can take the train down to about an hour out of Hampton Court and take the boat the rest of the way?

Thanks,

This is the link to Transport for London's river services guide. You'll find the Hampton Court services on pages 11 to 13. Richmond is about an hour and a half away from Hampton Court, which sounds like it'll be about right for you. You can easily get to Richmond either by Tube (District Line) or overground train (from Waterloo), and then it's a pleasant stroll through the town down to the river. It looks like these two services leave from different piers, but I don't know which one is which.
