Car Hire Harwich

We will be in Harwich in September, and we would be very grateful if anybody knows of any car hire companies in this area.

As far as I could tell, and I spent a lot of time researching it, there are no car hire's in Harwich. We are on the Jewel of the Seas, departing June 21st. The only way I've found to do it is to hire a taxi to Ipswich, which isn't that far, and in Ipswich there are several car hire places. We are using Avis (we get a discount because we have AAA). The cost to have them have a driver meet you at the terminal is 35 pounds for a taxi, or if you have a lot of luggage/people, 55 ponds for a van. The phone number for Harwich Taxis is 01255 551111 (I have no idea if that number includes the UK country code...I suspect not). Avis you can just call their toll free number (I don't know it off the top of my head) and they'll hook you up with Ipwich. Anyway, that's what we are doing.
