KimberleyFL Posted April 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2013 On RCI ships, Jewel of the Seas in particular, when you look at the deck plan and see balcony cabins port side and starboard side with inside cabins between them, on which side does the inside cabin doors open to? For example. Deck 9 has port balcony cabins 9208, 9210, 9212, 9214, 9216 etc on the port side and the starboard side has balcony cabins 9608, 9610, 9612, 9614, 9616 etc. What side do the doors to the inside cabins, 9609, 9611, 9613, 9615, 9617, 9619, etc, open to? Thank You.
kruzerci Posted April 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2013 We had a deck 8 inside on Jewel and it opened on the right when looking at the deck plans (starboard side)
beautiful.thing Posted April 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2013 If you go to the cruisedeckplans website you will see the >> symbol on those single interior cabins. I believe that indicates which side the door is on.
Roce48 Posted April 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2013 The Jewel deck plan diagram on RCCL website shows inside cabin 9209 door opening up across from 9208. The diagram shows arrows for the door.

Thank You. Just match the inside cabin numbers with the outside cabin numbers and you will know. In your example, all the inside cabin numbers start with 96. They open to the side where the outside cabins also start with 96.
KimberleyFL Posted April 19, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Thanks for all your great answers. Now I see that it makes sense to match up the numbers as varoo suggested.
