JuniorCruiser Posted June 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2005 We are booked on a back to back cruise and will be staying in two separate cabins so we will have to switch at the end of the five day. My question is if i order birthday dec's cake and flowers for my parents do you think the cabin steward will have it finished before we arrive at the 2nd cabin? I hope i didn't confuse you all with the question. I just would like to make the cruise a little extra special for them since this will be their first RCCL cruise. Thank You :) Any info would be greatly appreciated. Happy Sailing Everyone ;)
2forthesea Posted June 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2005 They will move you to your new cabin while they're cleaning the ship on the turnaround day. You may want to go over to the 2nd cabin before the end of the first cruise and talk to the cabin steward. He can make sure the decorations are there before they move you. Too bad you can't stay in the same cabin: so much easier for everyone.

We had the 9 day booked since last year and we have aft cabins so i didn't want to screw anything up. That's a great idea about speaking to the room steward though. How come i didn't think of that ? LOL Thank You!!!! ~~Debbie~~
2forthesea Posted June 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2005 That's what these boards are for! Have a great time. We loved our B2B!!
tinsel57 Posted June 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2005 Be sure to keep checking back on that cabin. I've known people to cancel last minute so don't count it out until you're actually on board.
WillyNilly Posted June 17, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2005 I did a B2B and moved my own bags because I was told my first stateroom attendant would be doing the bag shuffle. Figure with all the rooms to make, it would be low priority so all bags were hauled to our new cabin after informing the new attendant of our intentions. They make the effort to meet all the people they are responsible for, so definitely talking to them would help. I think our new room was ready by 10AM with only vacuuming left to do!
