MeredithNC Posted May 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2013 A couple of days ago I was checking all my paperwork and I noticed my bed had been switched to twins instead of King. Changed it. Went back today, same thing again. Anyone else had problems?
JaniceB Posted May 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Not lately, but a few cruises back there was a glitch but I thought it had been fixed.
emelvee Posted May 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2013 There are other threads about this...it's a glitch. Worst case, you can have your steward move the beds together if you find them separated when you board.
WhoDat2009 Posted May 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Worst case, they'll change it when you get on board. It takes only a few minutes.
srlafleur Posted May 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Yeah, I've been having the same problem on the site. The overview shows "Twin". When I click on it to change it, it already shows "King". I'll deal with it when I get on the ship, if necessary. I've had to do it before. It's not a big deal.

Anyone else had problems? if you get on board and they're twins, it takes the room steward 5 minutes to fix. we had this problem as summer, we had a king, needed twins, found him asked nicely and he stopped what he was doing and immediately fixed the beds. really not a big deal. enjoy your vacation. don't stress. The room steward might not be able to change the bed configuration right away. But it should be changed by the time you come back from dinner. suzyed Posted May 9, 2013 #14 Share Posted May 9, 2013 I am 14 days from sailing and yesterday, I encountered the same thing...switched it back to king....I didn't even think to check today. Yes, I know they can switch it once onboard, but it makes you wonder what else may be messed up....no biggie...but annoying at the same time.

carolinaviking71208 Posted May 12, 2013 #16 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Sent an email to Carnival about this issue. Here's their response. Hello Eric, Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance. We apologize for the challenges you are encountering on our web site. The issue you are encountering has been already reported. Our Internal help desk is aware and is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Although it shows two twin beds on the front end on our website the back end already shows a King size bed which is what you selected. For the most part the beds are already put together into a King size bed so you don't have to worry. Thank you for choosing Carnival Cruise Lines and we look forward to welcoming you aboard. Eng23 Posted May 12, 2013 #19 Share Posted May 12, 2013 I think this issue is happening to alot of people myself included. It's really not that big of a deal. If you get to your cabin and the bed is not correct, just tell your cabin steward and it will be corrected.
ichigohime Posted May 12, 2013 #20 Share Posted May 12, 2013 I travel with my father, so of course we need two twin beds - which I always check on the website. Well in my 10 carnival cruises the bed has always been pushed together when we arrive at the cabin. So, last cruise on the Fascination I asked our room steward why they are always together when I always ask on the website for them to be seperated. He told me that they do not receive any direction or notification about how beds should be set up (and he had heard the complaint before) that he simply "guesses" and since my father and I are male/female with the same last name the room steward would guess that we are married and will push the beds together. Like I said, 10 cruises and the beds have never been as requested, but the room stewards always fix it in a flash for us, it really is a non issue. jmcathome Posted May 12, 2013 #21 Share Posted May 12, 2013 no big problem. If they are not the way you want them just ask the steward to cahnge them. Has happened on the last two and was not a problem to change.
JennN Posted May 12, 2013 #22 Share Posted May 12, 2013 when I called to change rooms last night I mentioned this and she said it was a glitch. Sucks for the stewards but no worries when it comes to you. We usually have it at a king and we go into the room with two twins. Your steward will have it done by turndown service your first night. Enjoy!
SoCalKJ Posted May 12, 2013 #23 Share Posted May 12, 2013 You may start with a King bed, but who knows...by the end of the cruise, you might just want those twins after all! Just Kidding. :D:p
TJTYMOM Posted May 13, 2013 #24 Share Posted May 13, 2013 I was told by a phone rep that the problem with beds on the web site has been there for YEARS! They need to find new software peeps I believe!
suzyed Posted May 22, 2013 #25 Share Posted May 22, 2013 Yeah, I know they can normally fix it in a jiffy, but I feel sorry for all the room stewards who are now going to have to change a bunch of beds!! I keep "fixing" mine too...but it always says "twin", no matter how many times I change it!
