funinthesun1964 Posted May 13, 2013 #27 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Would you recommend that Holiday Inn? Did you feel that your car was secure there? How was the shuttle service? Was it just "sign up when you arrive for a time slot? We are looking for a decent hotel to stay with restaurants nearby. $139 want bad, considering that included leaving your car there for the duration of the cruise. Hi, this is the second time we stayed in that hotel and I would recommend it. It's right near the stadiums so pretty safe. Also the hotel shuttle will take you to shopping and inner Harbour which was great. I felt fine leaving my truck there and had no issues. Yes you just sign up for a shuttle time when you first check in. They have 2 shuttles running at the same time. Hope this helps.

boaterette Posted May 14, 2013 #30 Share Posted May 14, 2013 First off beautiful family. Secondly, I am loving seeing pictures of the Pride. I sailed it a lot when it was here on the west coast. One of my favorite ships. Looking forward to the rest of your review.
lovermonkey Posted May 14, 2013 #31 Share Posted May 14, 2013 We woke up Monday morning to gloomy skies and rough seas. I could feel the boat rolling before I even got out of bed. It was12ft swells. We spent most of the day in the ship, doing shopping, and eating and in the casino. trying to win ship on a stick at Trivia. We were on just before you. It was just as bad on Monday for us too. Oh, and we lost 10 bucks on that game. We gave up. LOL
margaritaman Posted May 14, 2013 Author #32 Share Posted May 14, 2013 Next Up Port Canaveral and Walt Disney World Pulled into port around 6:26 a.m and had to be off the boat by 7:30. Pulling into port. A little rant here. There were three buses to take people to the parks. We were directed 2 the third bus, and there we waited while we saw the other 2 buses leave on time at 7:30. It was close to 8am and people were still meandring off the ship to the bus. We paid the same amount for the Disney Day as the other people on the other 2 buses and yet they were a half hour a head of us. So to those people that held us up, if it says the bus leaves at 7:30 be there for 7:30. RANT OVER.

cruzin4sun Posted May 14, 2013 #36 Share Posted May 14, 2013 So I wanted to be on the road by 6 a.m for our 10 hour drive from Orillia Ontario Canada to Baltimore. We got away about 06:45 on Saturday April 20, 2013. Here are some of the kids on the drive down. How was the drive? We are leaving from Brampton Saturday. margaritaman Posted May 14, 2013 Author #38 Share Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) How was the drive? We are leaving from Brampton Saturday. its actually a really easy drive. Crossed over at Ft Erie into NY then into Pennsylvania right into Maryland. The PA turnpike was 13 dollars and change each way but again an easy drive. Have fun, wish I was going back that soon! Mad Capn Bob Posted May 14, 2013 #40 Share Posted May 14, 2013 Always good to see photos of me ship. Altho, one of these days, I'm going to wear me piratical clothes that first night, and out-do that lubber with the silly cutlass (actually, it looked more like a falchion). This year, instead of cruising, I'm doing a multi-day visit to Disney World...if the past is prologue, I'll likely be belting out sea shanties at the Columbia House...again. margaritaman Posted May 15, 2013 Author #41 Share Posted May 15, 2013 so after a nice ride and about an hour later we were at Walt Disney World. We spent the day at the Magic Kingdom and had to be back at the buses by 4:15pm. The cost through Carnival was $159.00 per person. I haven't been to Disney in 10 years so this was worth it to me. I Love Disney!

Mrs CruisinCritter Posted May 15, 2013 #50 Share Posted May 15, 2013 We are going on the same itinerary at the end of September and we are thinking about the Magic Kingdom excursion. I've been a few times, but my hubby and our son have never been. Were the buses to and from the park completely full or were there a few empty seats? The reason I ask is that our son will be 2 and they don't require you to buy a ticket for a child under 3, but that makes me wonder how they know he will need a seat on the bus. He's 19 months now and hes way too big to sit on our laps for a long period of time and will definitely require his own seat.
