margaritaman Posted May 15, 2013 Author #51 Share Posted May 15, 2013 We are going on the same itinerary at the end of September and we are thinking about the Magic Kingdom excursion. I've been a few times, but my hubby and our son have never been. Were the buses to and from the park completely full or were there a few empty seats? The reason I ask is that our son will be 2 and they don't require you to buy a ticket for a child under 3, but that makes me wonder how they know he will need a seat on the bus. He's 19 months now and hes way too big to sit on our laps for a long period of time and will definitely require his own seat. There were three buses, and I belive the first 2 were full, but ours still had a few empty seats. Hope that helps. ( I think as long as you were not last to board you will be able to get seats regardless. They give you your park passes just before you get on the bus, and no one comes on to check where you sit). Thank you! That makes me feel a lot better about spending the money to spend the day at the park. I'd hate to spend 2 hours of our day on a bus cramming 3 of us into a seat that's built for 2.
Anung Un Rama Posted May 15, 2013 #53 Share Posted May 15, 2013 Hey Kevin!!! Looks like you and your family had a great time. First off, I ***** hate you for winning Tower of Cash! That game is the bane of my existence. I've gotten to that last ring more times than I can count and have never won. Any way, congrats. I'll be interested to see what you did the rest of these ports as we've been on this itin several times. And I'm jealous that you had a good PBE. We love Roger as he helped us become addicted to the piano bar. Can't wait for the rest.
margaritaman Posted May 15, 2013 Author #54 Share Posted May 15, 2013 Hey buddy, how are you? Yes I was so happy to finally have won it. Put alot of money into it though. Great to hear from you. I have followed your other reviews since we were both on the Pride together, and if I could write one half as good as you, I would be happy. Take care, maybe we will meet up on the Pride again. margaritaman Posted May 15, 2013 Author #55 Share Posted May 15, 2013 Well Thursday was our Nassau day. After another fairly late night, I was looking forward to sleeping in. We were supposed to pull into Nassau at 11 am, but shortly before 10 I could see it on the horizon. So I quickly showered and got ready to get pics from the top deck as well as my balcony. coming into view

margaritaman Posted May 15, 2013 Author #57 Share Posted May 15, 2013 We were off the ship by 11:30 and with no real plans set out to see some of the town and find a beach. WOW are the locals all over you when you first get off the ship. Just a firm no thanks, though and no problem. Some were also very helpful with directions as well. The Fascination was pulling in just after we got off the ship. Junkanoo beach is where we spent most of the day. It was great, yes I have seen better beaches, but this was good. cold drinks close by, and everyone was friendly. The water was beautiful. I rented a lounge chair for 5 dollars. margaritaman Posted May 16, 2013 Author #58 Share Posted May 16, 2013 I took 200 cash off the ship with me, and I spent it mostly on the beach. For 3 Pina Coladas and 2 beers it came to 21 dollars, and the drinks were strong. The older fellow making the drinks was awesome. Also had some jerk chicken that they bbq'd right beside the bar and it was great. we also bought some bracelets, and chokers, and my son had a strand of his hair braided. Every one there was so nice. margaritaman Posted May 16, 2013 Author #62 Share Posted May 16, 2013 so we spent most of the day on the beach and then went to the straw market which was okay but pushy. Then stopped at Senor Frogs for a drink which was crazy busy. I ended up getting sun stroke this day which made for a early night, painful sleep, and feeling sick for 12 hrs. yup I'm carrying my wifes bag

heatherbean Posted May 16, 2013 #68 Share Posted May 16, 2013 I remember you from our cruise critic group, and I missed our meet and greet which i kicked my butt for all week. Did you go to it? Yes, I did make the meet and greet, though it was lightly attended. Everyone who did show was nice. They did play LRC on sea days, though I was late twice, so only played once. After seeing your pictures, I realized I seen you a few times in the piano bar. Also, I think we had a brief conversation in the casino. You (I think), me and another lady were discussing our Freeport excursion. Your daughter was doing the brewery tour, that DH and I were doing. margaritaman Posted May 18, 2013 Author #75 Share Posted May 18, 2013 How did u get to Junkanoo beach? once you walk out of the port market building, head to your right towards the British Colonial Hilton. its about a 5min walk. Just follow the signs from there.
