Using pre paid phone

Recommended Posts

I know all the issues with using your phone on the cruise but does anyone have any info on using a pre paid phone. It's not a smart phone of any kind so no data or anything. I just use mostly for a way for people to get into my building where I live. Wondering if we would be able to use this on a cruise in case my family has to get in touch with me as my parents are not in great health

I use a pre-paid phone too...the only times I've used it to call home from a cruise was in St. Thomas or San Juan..since they are considered part of the US there were no extra fee's...best to check with your provider to see what coverage will be available for your phone...

I don't have a provider. It was one I got at Walmart and you just buy min. I don't have a home phone so I bought it just to let people in when they come to visit.
