tanishao Posted May 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Hi, We are a family of four booked in 2 Central Park View connecting staterooms on Allure departing June 16th. (No 4-person rooms available when we initially booked about a month ago) If there are now Interior guarantees for 4 people, is it too late to switch staterooms? Would I get a refund or on-board credit for overage amount? Thanks for your help! Tanisha

Enjoy the Allure - she's amazing!
Daghis Posted May 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2013 No, once you're past your final payment date, you can only upgrade (either at no cost or paying the difference; no refund is given). Since you wouldn't get anything back, you're far better off keeping your connecting staterooms, especially since you'll have two bathrooms instead of just one. tanishao Posted May 31, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Just called. They no longer have 4-person guarantees. :-/ But I guess the extra bathroom will be great. Thanks!
Starry Eyes Posted May 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2013 If you see a a good price on a better cabin, you may be able to move up for the (hopefully small) price difference. You might or might not be able to get them to combine all four of you into a single, better, more expensive cabin, but unless that new cabin was a nice big suite, I would not do that even if they allowed it. Since you are after final payment, you will not get money back if you downgrade. look instead at upgrade opportunities if you look at all.
