DKNYC Posted September 23, 2014 #3851 Share Posted September 23, 2014 There doesn't appear to be much room outside for muster. I wonder if the muster stations will all be inside. That would be great when sailing from NJ. Sure would Gayle. That last one in the wet cold was really NOT fun.:( Denise

transam84 Posted September 23, 2014 #3853 Share Posted September 23, 2014 She has come a long way since this thread was first started back in June 2013. Its been an amazing transformation since the beginning. I am very moved watching her meander through the river. I so agree. I actually got pretty emotional when she left the shipyarrd and headed down the river. So glad I am not the only one getting so emotional over a ship. I have never sailed a brand new vessel. Well, except my pontoon boat, but I don't think that counts, LOL. I can't imagine how I am going to feel seeing her sail under the bridge of my home town for the first time. Lloyd555 Posted September 23, 2014 #3854 Share Posted September 23, 2014 I'm so embarrassed. It looks like it was Gloria the Hippopotamus that I mistook for the North Star wrapped up in plastic many posts ago. Don't tell Melman!! Forgot to mention that those were not new photos of the H2O Zone. Just used them to show what I thought was the North Star. :o By the way, is this the first mention of Royal Esplanade on the website? Just used them to show what I thought was the North Star. :o By the way, is this the first mention of Royal Esplanade on the website? I noticed that too! What I think is funny is that it isn't labeled on the deck plans and there is nothing explaining it. Anyone who doesn't use CC won't know what it is... ChristianDecker Posted September 23, 2014 #3857 Share Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) Can anyone see North Star yet ? Hope I did not oversee it or a post about this ... If it is not yet there - where will the major lift be assembled ? EDIT: I think I can see it on some pics I found ... but nothing with a clear pic ... Are there any photos with more detailed pics ? Lloyd555 Posted September 23, 2014 #3861 Share Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) Nice if we could tell from the outside. The concierge lounge is lit up below the dark conference room. So many of her shots are great. I like this one of the ship squeezing out of the yard. I hope that she will be taking ship interior shots as well. Lloyd555 Posted September 23, 2014 #3867 Share Posted September 23, 2014 The Quantum of the Seas is in the neighborhood of Judith Römpke, who brought us the videos of the blocks being transported by tugs to Meyer Werft.
Tough as Leather Posted September 23, 2014 #3868 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Inselvideo's conveyance video in the other thread has some great close-ups of (inside) sections of the ship. Glass enclosures look better in the dark. Thanks Lloyd for letting me post forward these images (from Inselvideo's video )

DEIx15x8 Posted September 24, 2014 #3870 Share Posted September 24, 2014 She looks great out at sea. Photo by Dennie Gaasendam She does. Wonder why they haven't put the funnel back up. I'm sure having it lower makes a mess in the aft, those satellites are the same height. I noticed she still hasn't had that final satellite installed. It was the only one missing during the float out and even now after the conveyance she is still missing that first satellite on the port side. Can't think of anything that would prevent them from installing it. The only thing left is North Star and that is far enough away to not impact it. The only thing that could be stopping them would be the equipment not being ready to be installed (manufacturing delay). It's not like that would be blocking them with the over head work to put north start on
