pkay414 Posted June 16, 2013 #26 Share Posted June 16, 2013 My friend and I are booked on February 23 out of Galveston on Royal Caribbean, and this beach was recommended to us. A few questions for those who have been there: What is the fee to use the beach? Is there a website to reserve a space? Everyone's mentioned drinks, is there food as well? We are not really interested in doing any of the excursions, but we do want to find a beach to get some R&R and sun. Any other suggestions would be great. Our other ports of call are Belize and Roatan. Thanks!!! Paula

(to me, worth the $55 by itself) All you can drink, alcohol or non-alcoholic. 4 Course Meal. A lounger on the beach or poolside. (usually 4 loungers under each palapa on the beach) , 2 beds poolside. Hot tub attached to the pool. Swim up bar, next to the hot tub. Everything is covered except massages, parasailing, snorkel excursions, etc... Hope that covers it. If you want a relaxing beach day, Nachi is the spot. If you want a bit more of a party atmosphere, Mr. Sanchos is your spot. If you want kid friendly, Playa Mia or Paradise Beach is your spot. If you want snorkeling, Chankanaab or Money Bar are your spot. Bill

lilme74 Posted June 17, 2013 #29 Share Posted June 17, 2013 Hi guys :) I love this thread :D it's our 2nd time to Cozumel. The first time was spent on a horrible tour with ATVs, but we did have a great time learning how to snorkel at the end. We picked Nachi this time to relax n def love the 100 person limit. There's enough noise n hustle n bustle on the cruise ship I'd rather stay somewhere peaceful for the day ;) I started to doubt our choice after another person posted on the roll call "Are you really going to eat $55 worth of food?" But def I also want to enjoy a great beach, a few drinks also and a safe taxi ride back to the ship. We're on vacation...Live a lil ;D We will be there now in July, woohoo Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

bradsnana Posted June 23, 2013 #31 Share Posted June 23, 2013 The $55 covers more than food..it is all you can drink, plus it pays for the use of the facility. The best part is they only take 100 people per day...you won't be over run by people. It is a very relaxing quiet place...trust me...well worth the money. Unless you are looking for a racus party place..then skip Naichi Cocom. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

Now I am not sure which one to book! Back to reading reviews and opinions!
mushroomgs Posted June 23, 2013 #34 Share Posted June 23, 2013 The $55 was definitely worth it. The beach was very quiet and not crowded at all. I ate all the food and all the drinks I wanted. We had an extremely relaxing time. It was beautiful!

JohninDC Posted June 24, 2013 #40 Share Posted June 24, 2013 That should make her happy. Was thinking this place or paradise beach Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app With a 9-year old I would opt for either Paradise Beach (pay-as-you-go) or Mr. Sanchos (AI) -- more for kids to do and more families with kids at each than you'll find at Nachi. Good luck! :)

Taxi ride to Nachi takes about 15+ minutes and should cost about $16+tip for up to 4 in a cab (so team up with others in the taxi line ;)). Same fare gets you a cab back to the ship. Good luck! :)

Just make sure you have a printed copy of your reservation, as cabbies will try to steer you to whichever beach club gives them kickbacks. I just flash my reservation and they take off.(without any hard sell) It will be a crazy 15 minute ride from the RCCL or Carnival piers. (the cabbies make it like a rollercoaster ride) When you are ready to leave, you just ask your waiter for the day, to call you a cab. (we usually give him a 15 minute heads up) Have never had to wait for a cab to arrive after our day at Nachi. Bill

JohninDC Posted June 27, 2013 #46 Share Posted June 27, 2013 I will be on Celebrity. Do they usually dock at the same pier? There are three pier areas in Coz, but it will not make much of a difference in cab fare to the beach clubs. Have a good cruise! :)
bguppies Posted June 27, 2013 #47 Share Posted June 27, 2013 I will be on Celebrity. Do they usually dock at the same pier? Celebrity should dock at the RCCL pier...unless there are multiple RCCL ships in that day. (usually not) Try checking your day in Cozumel to see what ships are in port with you. http://www.cruisetimetables.com/ http://cruisett.com/content.php Bill

Will they take US$ Absolutely... Most places in Cozumel deal in US $$$$... One suggestion though... Carry lots of small bills to make exact change. You will get a lot of I don't have change from cabbies and shops. Also many shops will take your dollars. But if you pay for a $30 shirt with TWO $20'S, you could very well, get your $10 change in pesos.... Enjoy. CruiseMomma75 Posted June 30, 2013 #50 Share Posted June 30, 2013 We are visiting Nachi on July 16 from the Paradise, and this will be my third visit, 2nd for DH and 1st for DD. I have also been to Mr. Sanchos and I like Nachi better....mainly for the pool. Swim up bar, tanning area and hot tub....makes for a great day. Have only done massages, which are amazing, but my sister and her family did jet skis last time and enjoyed them. There are so many other excursion options on Cozumel, but I am bad about loving something and not wanting to do anything else. Nachi is beautiful, the service is amazing, the food is great and the drinks are plentiful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cozumel.
