tinkerbell_82 Posted June 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Hey everyone- I found these cute anchor bags for a GREAT price on oriental trading. HAs anyone ordered these or seen them used as OOT bags? I'm tempted to order them now since they keep going out of stock, but I have no idea how many I will need. Thanks! beachmonkey Posted June 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2013 We just received a package of them. We were thinking about using these for our sailing guests. They are nice, kinda cute, and super inexpensive. We originally planned on loading them up with gift items for our sailing guests. We also thought about rolling them up, tying them with a ribbon, and putting it in a different bag/package for them. We are still coming up with new ideas every day so who knows what we will actually do in the end.
beachmonkey Posted June 20, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2013 FYI...The bags are not very thick. You can see through the material. I will post a couple of pics when I get home.

I just want to see the quality, size, etc. They are definitely the least expensive option I've found but I'm worried they might fall apart.. OT is hit or miss sometimes. beachmonkey Posted June 20, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Here is a picture of the bag. I put the large commemorative Breakaway book inside. You can see how sheer it is since you can see the book inside. They are not as strong as a reusable grocery bag. They are only about a $1 a piece and you certainly get what you pay for... tinkerbell_82 Posted June 20, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Thank you SO much Beachmonkey- super helpful that you put the book in there! They are pretty see-through. :( I think I am going to continue my search for canvas totes and see if I can't find some reasonably priced ones somewhere. :)

We were hoping for something larger and more durable, but now that we have a dozen of these...we will just add them to the gift packages as one more item. drewlin Posted June 23, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Please excuse my ignorance but what is an OOT bag? As a Brit, I don't know the term.
tinkerbell_82 Posted June 23, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted June 23, 2013 OOT= out of town. It's a gift you give to the guests that have traveled to be at your wedding. :) Sent from my iPhone using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app
drewlin Posted June 23, 2013 #12 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Thanks for the explanation. I did wonder what the initials stood for. I think that it's a lovely idea which I will use for my vow renewal in 2015.
Weewiggles Posted July 4, 2013 #13 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Thanks for the pic...they are cute bags, but definitely thin.
keltpa Posted July 6, 2013 #14 Share Posted July 6, 2013 I used them and they were kind of small, but worked for favors. I included a little bottle of hand sanitizer, tissues, some personalized mints, gum, advil, playing cards etc. It wasn't that expensive (dollar tree) for most of the items but it was well appreciated! jul1221 Posted July 8, 2013 #15 Share Posted July 8, 2013 Hi Ladies, I actually went to Walmart and bought really nice beach bags for $2.88. They were just the right size for everything that we added to it and our guests used them the entire trip and beyond.
