rwr235 Posted July 3, 2013 #26 Share Posted July 3, 2013 I have not yet been on the Reflection...but I have found myself a bit "bored" on every Celebrity cruise I have been on. It usually occurs between 0345am-0430am...My wife, and our travel friends, are still deep in REM sleep; the coffee in the Ocean View is not appealing to my caffeine addicted and spoiled taste buds; its still too early to head to the Gym (even though the doors may be unlocked); there is hardly a soul up and about; the buffet is still being set up; Cafe al Bacio is locked up tight; Bars are shut down...:( and all I find to do is... Explore the ship; gaze at the lightening horizon, or the moon still reflecting on the ocean; listen to my ipod; read a book; walk every inch of outdoor deck space; chat up the Security and other night staff; look at the art; shoot some hoops, or kick the soccer ball around on the sports court; download some pics or compose a couple emails; chill on the balcony (always aft, enjoying the sound and sight of the wake); go over plans for next port; read the Celebrity Today; pick-up the news postings.... Man, that 45 minutes sure is BORING !!:D Enjoy Woody

Rare keesar Posted July 3, 2013 #29 Share Posted July 3, 2013 I'd appreciate comments about any other shows. I usually like to go to 1 or 2 during the week. How are they on Reflection? Thanks! We were on the Reflection towards the end of the Caribbean itinerary. The cast shows in the Reflection Theater were outstanding. We enjoyed all 3 performances. There was nightly dancing in the Grand Foyer on Deck 3 with a great live band. I believe they were D'Revelations. The dance floor is rather small but it was a great place to visit after dinner. On some late nights, there was dancing in the Sky Observation Lounge area on Deck 14. There is a bar there and the atmosphere is superior. Unfortunately, it was not well attended but we all had a great time. There was plenty of room on the dance floor. All in all, I thought the musicians and entertainers were tops on the Reflection. terrigonz Posted July 8, 2013 #31 Share Posted July 8, 2013 I hear what your saying about being bored, Ive been on 5 Celeb cruises and I agree. If you are looking for some night life after 11 it will be hard to find except in the casino. I dont gamble, but I like to dance and there really isn't a club to go to dance
Rare keesar Posted July 10, 2013 #32 Share Posted July 10, 2013 There is one item I did not mention. The Reflection Theater does not have the overhead tracks in the ceiling around the theater for the performers. This was integrated in the older S-class ships. This does limit some of the aerial acrobatics and the WOW factor during the show. However, the shows were well done and we enjoyed them. A real hard working and professional group. 20pluscruises Posted December 30, 2013 #35 Share Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) This cruise was far different than the past celebrity cruise. Lots of shows at night. We actually found it impossible to make to all the ones we wanted to see. I give this cruise cudos for finally timing the majority of late show times at 10:30. Never was a fan when they changed the time to the before dinner theater show. I should add...we did Equinox spring 2013 and Fall 2012...they were boring compared to the Reflection. Lastdance Posted December 31, 2013 #36 Share Posted December 31, 2013 I must admit, your post was pretty funny!! :) I think boredom has a lot to do with the cruiser, and the itinerary. A cruise needs to be evaluated by doing your homework, along with knowing what you expect from a cruise. Look within yourself for the answers... I know millions who would die for your boredom on a cruise...
Rare hcat Posted January 1, 2014 #37 Share Posted January 1, 2014 We think Celeb has made more than enough changes to be livelier--any more noise at the pool, loud music at the venues and attempts to play techno and rap will drive away more of its loyal base... The elegant vibe survives but not for much longer if people insist it become a clone of cruise lines they orefer.... OP should be happier on Royal C-- a bit of both worlds with more nightlife
OuiOnboard Posted January 1, 2014 #38 Share Posted January 1, 2014 OP, if you've been on Celebrity many times, the entertainment options and nightlife on Reflection is no different from any other Celebrity ship. Hazy pretty much said it all, but X seems to be gearing their entertainment in general toward a younger crowd than has been the case. Have a look at the pictures of the "X pax" on their website now compared to 5-10 years ago.
Viva_la_Vida Posted January 1, 2014 #39 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I was on Silhouette in April and there was a new show called "Sin City" held in Celebrity Central. It is a later show and they continually let folks know it is "ADULT ONLY" and I don't know if the same show is on Reflection or not. Now, that particular show? It is Adult Comedy and I remember it being 3 times during the cruise....(it may have been more but I remember seeing it in the daily 3 different days)...anyway, that show? I do believe they did the same stuff.....not everyone goes every night so I can see why the material might be the same. Personally, I thought it was VERY FUNNY:D.....one of those shows where the Comedian was very good and it related to daily life and you could laugh till it hurt;) This show was actually later than usual.....I think it started about 11- 11:30..... As fo the rest of things? Some folks say boring.....I say laid back and relaxed:) The Sin City show was also on Reflection, at least in April when I went. The Reflection is awesome. The lounge was hopping well after my husband and I left every night, after 1am.
