swim25 Posted July 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2013 There was an hour to hour and a half delay in the disembarking on July 4th for the Splendor. They were paging a passenger over and over to report to guest services and said there was a delay in customs clearing he ship. Does anybody on the Splendor that day know what was the cause of the delay? Was it the passenger that they were paging?

cathyz Posted July 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2013 I'm sure it was a non-U.S. citizen that didn't show up to the meeting place for immigration. One of our cruises on the Splendor, there was a huge delay and they kept paging people and finally made an announcement in German and we were off the ship within minutes, guess the person didn't understand the other announcements. maggieworkman Posted July 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2013 We felt that our cruise on the Splendor that disembarked on June 26th was delayed too! It just seemed they didn't start calling numbers when they usually do. But we didn't hear anyone being paged. Maggie

As we were leaving the ship, Dominic said some guy jumped overboard and swam to another pier and ran. Someone else said something about a firearm, I'm not sure. I couldn't find anything online. But Dominic said "Did you hear someone jumped?" to us as we were leaving. He said he saw the whole thing. It's very weird.

When we picked up the zone 5 tags they told us we would be called around 8:15 - 8:30. But when we noticed they weren't calling ANYONE to get off early we asked at Guest Services and they said we were behind schedule because of the 2 medevac's the night before. We weren't off the ship until 9:45.
