Anyone cruising with Celebrity or Royal?

Recommended Posts

It seems that all you gals and guys cruise Carnival and Princess for the most part.

We are going on December 12,2013 for a relaxing 4 night on Royal/Brilliance of the Seas. Come join or join us April 20,2014 for a TA from Fort Lauderdale to Civitevechia Rome with 6 pots for a total of 16 days.

Hmm, not sure why you've reached that conclusion. There are a ton of folks on here who are fans of Celebrity and RCI. Just look at the G&L Roll Calls....

We're on the Celebrity Infinity TA in October, our second cruise with Celebrity, and are booked on Celebrity for the Baltics next year...:)

We are also big fans of Celebrity and Azamara. Will be on Celebrity Summit in October and Celebrity Reflection for New Years Cruise. Then on Infinity in June of 2014 and a B2B2B on Azamara in July/August 2014. Hope to see some friends

I look at the roll calls everyday. It would be nice to meet some of you on our cruises. We usually meet one or two male couple, which is wonderful but the women seem to stay to themselves or are closeted. Just my opinion of what we have encountered in 25 years of cruising 18 times.

Hope we can meet up sometime. We are from South Florida by way of Brooklyn,NY.

My spouse and I are women. We love to cruise; haven't got as many as you yet, though, but if we lived in South Florida I'm sure we'd be jumping on ships even more! :)

What itineraries are you eyeing for the future? (I've posted our next two trips above.)

I'm also originally from Brooklyn.

We prefer Celebrity and Royal with a slight preference for Celebrity. We would be open to trying Princess some day. We gave Carnival more than one shot and we are done.

We've been on HAL, Celebrity, and Royal 2 times each. We prefer Celebrity over the others.

We'll be on the Celebrity Eclipse on May 24, 2014 to the Baltics for our 10th anniversary.

Heading out on Freedom of the Seas September 1st. We love both Royal and Celebrity although depending on the crowd, Celebrity can be more subdued and an older crowd.

We have sailed X before and enjoyed it. ( see my listing below for past and future cruises ) other than a 3 night cruise out of Maimi, no experance with Royal, will get the full treatment in a few months with the btb's btb on both lines. Like ships, so it should be a seamless cruise.

Take a look at our cruises. Most have been with RCL and Celebrity. We seem to always get the best perks with RCCL. We just put the deposit down today for our March cruise. The ship was fill up fast. We needed 3 rooms all together. Richard

Hi

We are travelling around the Med on Celebrity Reflection in September. We did a lot of research before we booked and judging by some recent Celebrity face book posts, I dont think we will be too lonely ;)

Don't judge a cruise as to if there are many LGBT on board based on chatter on threads here at CC. We have been on cruises were there was no thread here & had a huge FOD meeting.

Yes I've sailed Carnival 9 times with number 10 coming up in Nov and number 11 next Feb, I have been on Royal to Alaska last summer and going on them again next June to Bermuda. We do prefer Carnival if given the choice.

We cruise whatever strikes our fancy the most when it's time to plan. This can be based on the ship we want to try and/or cruise ports we want to visit. We just don't care to be around snotty folks with their noses in the air as we are free spirited vacation relaxers and light partiers. If it were up to me, and not my wallet, I would try every cruise line just to have the experience.

So far, we've actually cruise Royal twice and we are booked for a third ... Explorer of the Seas out of NJ to Bermuda & Caribbean August 14-23, 2014.

As you can by my signature we just like to cruise!!!

We've been on one cruise so far with X -- a TA on the Eclipse last year. Absolutely loved the whole experience; in fact, we are booked on two more cruises with X, including a TA next month. Can't wait to go! (Both TAs, btw, are with Pied Piper. Our Baltics cruise next year will be our first "on our own" with X, so to speak.)

We have sailed on most of the major lines, our preferences ( in order ) are Sebourne, Cunard, Princess, Celebrity, HAL, RCCL, Carnival. The rest have no interest for us, but just because we have sailed on a few and were just not impressed, others have their opinion and we respect that.

We have attained the top tiers on several of the ines we sail and have to say that Princess, by far, has the best "perks" for their top tier (elite) passengers.

( 250-500 free internet minutes, free unlimited laundry, in cabin bar setup, vip lounge every evening {sadly no free drinks} and a Captains most traveled luncheon). I do like the Elite cocktail party on X as well.

Michael (my partner) and I have done two cruises last year and this year with Celebrity in New Zealand/Australia and the Galapagos respectively. We are very happy with Celebrity.

We are going to South America on Celebrity Infinity on January 5, 2014. I have started a LGBT Roll Call on the Cruise Critic Community Forum. I think we have about ten LGBT people on this Roll Call now. If you are on the same cruise, you are most welcome to join us on this Roll Call. I also invite others to consider joining us on this cruise.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

We don't have beads (yet), but are planning on going to the sail-away party too.

You guys flying in the day before the cruise? We're staying at the Hyatt Place 17th street Convention Center.

Hey Jason. NO BEADS??? Shhh....been told you could lose your gay card for that. ;-P We're also at the Hyatt, but Hyatt Pier 66 also on 17th. Not sure if the same location. We're arriving Friday about 1'ish. Weather permitting, we plan to use the Sun Trolley and water taxi in the area and up to Las Olas area. Our return flight is 6:40pm following Sunday. We have a rental car that day and may drive down to South Beach Miami. If convenient let's maybe meet around hotel after you arrive. We're pretty flexible on any plans. Hotel reg. under Odson, Tom in the Hyatt Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Caleb and I aren't your "regular" gays (whatever that means...), but perhaps we will add beads to the shopping list. :p

You are at the other Hyatt in Ft. Lauderdale, both are very close to the pier. We are arriving around 7:00 pm Saturday night. We have talked about hitting up the gay scene Saturday night as there are way more gay clubs and bars in FLL compared to Nashville, TN! It might be hard to buy drinks the night before since we bought the drink package for the the cruise!

Sorry, couldn't get my phone to function in reply mode. Who named these phones "Smart?" Ok, maybe it's just me. Anyway, Blake & I also aren't "regular" gays (again...whatever that means). I'm more into bar scene than Blake, but he doesn't drink. Darn...that means I get stuck drinking for 2. :)) I wanted to check out a few gay clubs. If you want some company Sat. night let me know. Sort of hate posting my email and cell # on a public forum. But you have my name and hotel. Wish this site allowed pvt. messages. Would be great to connect before the cruise.
