MrsWaldo Posted July 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2013 Pre Antarctic Cruise... OK so I'm think Recoleta, and don;t want to break the budget. I've got it narrowed down to Sileo and Lois Suites. Any feedback would be great I will post this on the BA ports as well. Ta
digitl Posted July 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2013 We haven't stayed at either Sileo or Lois Suites but have stayed at Howard Johnson Boutique Hotel which was very good. Though not in Recoleta, but close, Duque Hotel Boutique & Spa is also excellent.
dtvmacdonald Posted July 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2013 I've stayed two different trips at Loi Suites Recoleta. You call them "not break the budget"? They are very nice indeed, you won't be disappointed. Great location too. Don't sneer at the touristy meat eateries around the corner opposite the cemetery. At the touristy "Montana" steak house I had the best steak I ever ate.
timetravelers Posted August 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2013 We too stayed at the Howard Johnson Boutique Hotel. We thought it was a gret location and walked all over Recoleta for 6 days. Hotel staff were very helpful. We will go back there again.

JJPacer Posted October 22, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Today I reserved our hotel rooms at Casa Calma in the Recoleta area. I thought they were reasonable through Expedia or Trip Advisor.

simonpjd Posted February 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2014 We stayed at the Melia too. Nice and central and some brilliant steak restaurants within a 5 minute walk. They say when in BA you must have a steak and go to the Tango show. Well the steak was great (without doubt the best I have ever had - a 550 gram sirloin!) but , for me, the Tango show was an hour too long. But all the Strictly fans loved it.
