OBC Now on Cruise Personalizer

I just checked mine, and everything is there and itemized for all of my upcoming cruises - with the exception of Shareholders Benefits that they haven't processed yet.

This new format looks very useful, and it will save my travel agent the effort of sending me new Booking Confirmations whenever the onboard credit information changes.

However, I fear we have seen the last of refunding the nonrefundable credits. Before the ship really didn't know what credits you had - just the total, so they refunded anything you didn't use. With this upgrade, I'm afraid they will know. If they do not refund unused credits, this will not be a change in policy or a "reduction in benefits", since they will just be enforcing the policy that they've had for a long time - and that they couldn't enforce before. I will be interesting in hearing from someone who tries to get a refund after this new software upgrade.

Very observant deduction. It will be interesting to see if the ship will have this same information (I would guess they will). It was good while it lasted. We will just have to enjoy sail aways that much more.

On one of my cruises, when it showed the lump sum for each, the numbers were correct. Now itemized, and I lost 150.00. It was a credit from Customer relations for an overcharge on one of my previous cruise tours a few months ago.. Called Princess, although not correct in personalizer, it is on my booking. I have other paperwork that shows the credit plus I had copied the total credits when they first appeared this week.

All my other cruises, everything is correct. I still find it strange that they would subtract it but have to believe Princess that all is correct.

For the people whose credits often exceed their charges (never happens to me) notice the credits marked with an asterisk leading to the the message below:

*Please enjoy using these credits onboard as they are not refundable.

Like some mentioned it will now be quite easy for Princess to track which are non-refundable credits, if they so desire.

Mine is still all messed up. Only shows OBC for DH. Mine has all zeros. Total is half of what we are supposed to get. Called Princess & they have all right in their computer & shows my correct OBC. I have copy from TA too that's correct. Hope problem gets fixed. Don't like seeing half of our OBC missing.

They are all refundable by a quick trip to the casino!

The ability of HQ computers to keep track of OBC source is not related to the ability of the onboard accounting system to do the same.

I suspect the onboard accounting system really cannot differentiate source vs. spending yet as far as figuring out which sources the spent OBC comes from. (But I could be wrong.)

All good now. All 7 of my cruises are correct and itemized. And of course I printed all of them. :D
Same here. Except I submitted stockholder OBC request for Royal Maiden TA and Maiden Caribbean at same time. Stockholder OBC shows up on Caribbean, but not TA. I guess I'll wait a few days before I give them a call.

It hasn't happened to me yet either, but I have $100 onboard credits for a one-night cruise next month.

We won't know for sure until someone has some left over and finds out. If they are really nonrefundable now, I don't want to be the one to find out by losing some instead of spending them. I think I will let someone else be the one to find out for sure.

Just get it from the casino.

Very strange, since the TA comes first. Why don't you just give them a call.

And a software upgrade is all it takes to discern the difference.

I suspect that all the problems people have been posting with the Princess web site are due to just "a software upgrade."

It takes more than just a line or two of code to put the needed logic into the onboard accounting systems.

Let's don't over simplify.

No one said a "line or two of code", those are your words.

The statement was a "software upgrade" and that it what it will take.

Just checked ours over on PCL website. Our PCL OBC and FCC are showing up for both myself and DH, but the only thing that shows up on the DH for his military/vet OBC is 'Active'. NO exact dollar amount showing up. Is that strange or what? Also non of our TA-OBC is showing up either. We haven't had final payment yet..so no stockholders credit yet..since it is too early to apply for it.

:confused:Just wondering....do all TA-OBC show up for all of you? We booked online with a travel biz. How about the Military/Vet OBC...shouldn't it show a dollar amount?

Go to the Personalizer for the individual cruise. Look at the list on the right hand side (shows summary, itinerary, etc. It will be at the bottom of the top list.

OK---just found the answers a few pages after I asked these questions from the above post thanks to cruiserdru---THANKS!
