bazzaw Posted August 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2013 Do the locals provide any tours from Yorkeys Knob?? Last (and only) time I was there a couple of years ago, P&O UK put on a shuttle into Cairns - but I can't recall much else to do there except have lunch at the yacht club. We won't be able to pre-book anything as the port is a tender port and we may not get ashore if it is too rough (with slightly disabled family member) Barry
Pushka Posted August 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2013 I'm thinking the locals would want to pre book the Tour anyway so that might not work. I'd imagine taxis would be queuing at the port though What time of the year Barry?
Aus Traveller Posted August 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2013 We have taken a cab from Yorkeys Knob. We didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes, but taxis weren't lined up. Maybe a suggestion for a trip is the skyrail to Kuranda - maybe return on the gondola rather than combine with the train because of the time constraints. I have heard that the Yacht Club at Yorkeys organises a bus to take people to the skyrail terminal or you could go by cab.
