Upgrade or not?

We booked a D1 cabin on deck 14 on the oasis of the seas , to our cruise October 12 th. Now we have the opportunity to upgrade to an unspecified suite for about $ 900 . Would you do it?

You don't know what kind of suite? JS or GS ? I wouldn't do it without knowing what category and location.

I hate surprises. At the very least I would want to know where the location is first.

Yes! We did exactly this on our last cruise and got a midship junior suite. You get double points and more square footage.

 

The suites are all in pretty good locations.....so go for it if you can afford it :)

I wouldn't do it. $900 is 1/2 or more of another cruise ;)

I agree. Too much to upgrade. But, keep an eye on the suite guarantee price. It may come down to a more reasonable difference.

For $900 total I'd do it in a heartbeat.... In fact, I've booked a Suite Gty twice for that price difference.

 

I'm pretty particular about my cabin location, but all the suites on Oasis/Allure are in decent locations.

 

The JS Cabins on that class of ship are VERY nice. I find the balcony cabins a little on the small side, so the extra space is great.

Ditto. We upgraded to a JS a few weeks ago when a military rate brought them down to what we considered a reasonable price.

 

It's not that the balcony cabins are small, I just find the layout and storage options to be poor.

Agreed.....looking at the deck plans, they all look like they are in good locations! I wouldn't hesitate to change to a suite ! Once you sail in a suite, especially a GS, it's hard to go back to anything else.
