Sapphire723 Posted September 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2013 I would not recommend writing your CC numbers down on your computer if you're bringing it with you just in case you lose your laptop. Keeping their numbers on your laptop should be fine, and they should be able to look up your account based on your ss#.
Rare Lois R Posted September 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2013 We all have different priorities when it comes to packing and what we want/need/ to bring. I do not bring many of the items on your list and have never missed them. I don't wear perfume so that is never on my list. I don't bring a sewing kit I don't bring room freshners I don't bring a plastic water bottle I don't bring extra name tags I don't bring night lights or ear plugs I don't bring laundry detergent I don't bring glue I don't bring an army knife:eek: I don't bring a shoe horn Those are just few items that are not important to me.....there are other items on your list I don't pack either. Different strokes for different folks:)
o2bonn Posted September 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2013 The best suggestion I ever saw was to bring a new sealed (therefore compact) plastic over-the-door shoe bag. You hang it inside your closet door, giving you and spouse tons of pockects for belts, ties, shoes, socks etc. At the end you give it to your cabin attendant who thinks this is the greatest thing ever. Blue Skies Posted September 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2013 I think this is a great idea especially on Solstice class ships where shelve space is at a premium but are the wardrobe doors sliding? Where then to hang?

MoreTime2Travel Posted September 19, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2013 I would check with Celebrity to see if you must have a passport if your cruise makes a stop in Mexico. You will be out of the country.

d4m Posted September 19, 2013 #13 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Cotton balls in cabinCan get playing cards from guest relations You may need that extra cash for overweight luggage if you are flying to your cruise:) Someone mentioned recently that no playing cards were available on their ship. Several people asked. Maybe another cost savings idea since playing cards could break the bank;)

HappyTvlr Posted September 19, 2013 #18 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Awesome! I would add eyemask for sleeping unless you are in an inside cabin, and we always take a vacuum wine saver if we are taking wine for the rare occasions we don't finish the bottle or just want a little white and a little red. I am just having a laugh that I pack most of what you pack and still have room for six or so pairs of shoes. Thank God for Samsonite Ultralite luggage! Karen@Steve Posted September 20, 2013 #20 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Since you're going to Hawaii you need a Hawaiian Shirt and Slippahs (aka flip flops)! Absolutely required in the islands. BTW...Hawaii has all the same things you can buy here so if you decide to lighten the load you can pick anything you need in the islands.
GreatLakes Posted September 20, 2013 #21 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Anyway, Thong and Thongs and you are packed. I got lost somewhere in the middle of what to pack. When we cruised Hawaii, we didn't take half of what was mentioned here; but we did take a t-shirt with SPF in it which we wore when we were snorkeling. We also took our own snorkel mask and water shoes and a cheap mesh bag to carry them in and we snorkeled right off the beach on several islands. Also took a beach cover-up (Lands End terry capri pants and hooded shirt) so when we finished our own snorkel excursion, we could stroll through the downtown area before catching the public bus back to the ship. Laundry detergent?? Woolite sells little packets that are the size of towlettes. Clothespins?? We have a portable clothesline with suction cups for the shower and you don't need clothespins. phdiva Posted September 20, 2013 #22 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Just cross-walked your list, plus everyone else's suggestions, with my list. Looks like you still "need" to add a few items. hangers bandaids ear drops (for swimmers ear) dental adhesive (for crown emergencies) eye drops ace bandage pens, highlighters, and sticky notes cortisone cream aloe lotion (in case of sunburn) pedometer and charger weightlifting gloves chapstick travel mug for coffee (And yes, folks, it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round)
FLJudi Posted September 20, 2013 #23 Share Posted September 20, 2013 magnets to hold paper notices/announcements to the wall of your cabin. Magnets with hooks too. I take bathrobes out of closet (to make extra room) and hang on wall. Use to hang lanyards, pocketbooks, hats, bathing suits.

Project_gal Posted September 20, 2013 #25 Share Posted September 20, 2013 You specifically mentioned keeping meds and change of clothes in your carry-on but you really ought to keep all your electrical items in your carry-on luggage. It reduces the chances of security staff needing to open your checked luggage. Some electrical items [such as laptop/tablet] may also attract theft if in your checked luggage.
