tomfromTN Posted September 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Just off the Victory yesterday and must say it was a great cruise. My wife and I are beach bums so the 5 day Grand Turk, Half moon Cay, and Nassau are perfect for us. Weather was perfect, food was good, shows were ok (welcome aboard show was worst), casino was nice (won $360)room stewart keep our cokes and water on ice in a bucket. The ships was very clean bathrooms need a little updating. We stayed at the Hyatt Place 17th st in Ft Lauderdale for a couple of days and must say it was awesome. Breakfast buffet was as good as on the cruise. We used Sas transportaion for our shuttle and cannot say enough how good their service is. We are going to book this one again for next year along with 2 more. Yes Carnival has made some cut backs but for the money you still can't beat it. We go to Pigeon Forge several times a year and spend more in 4 days up there than I did on this cruise.

cruzn buckeye Posted September 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2013 So nice to hear another great review on the Victory! We are doing the same itin leaving next Monday ! Bringing two newbies, so was hoping this one would be okay since she is an older ship :D. We also have SAS booked for our transportation from miami to Fll on debarkation day. Good to hear that they are still as good as they used to be!

How were the cabin temps, what floor and type cabin. We've noticed the cabin temps getting progressively warmer and am considering taking a fan. We were in cabin9202 on the lido deck on the front of the ship, and we had to keep adjusting the temp down because we were freezing! Love it that way though LOL Tom is right! I was so excited when I finally found a sweatshirt to buy because I was a Popsicle after every comedy show in the Adriatic (I called it the Arctic) lounge LMAO

iahawkize Posted September 27, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Going on the Victory 10.28.13 and want to watch the Miami Skyline fade in the distance for the sail away. Is there a bar close by? The deck plans show a bar on the Promenade in the Adriatic Aft Lounge It's probably enclosed with windows but it's only 1 flight up to the Panorama deck which is outside. Any Suggestions? Ken Martin

Any Suggestions? Ken Martin You are correct that the Adriatic Aft Lounge is enclosed, and there are no windows. A great place to watch Miami fade away at sailaway would be aft on the Lido Deck (Deck 9) There is a bar back there! Plenty of tables and chairs and a giant picture window going all across the back of the ship on this deck. If you want to feel the wind, go up the stairs one deck (deck 10) and look out over the railing for sailaway. Nearest bar would then be right below you with the stairs right beside it. Enjoy your cruise :)
