Photos and review of Solstice Cabin 6292

Hi All,

My husband and I recently got back from an Alaskan Cruise on the Solstice. I used this forum quite a bit to help with planning and I thought our pictures of the cabin might be useful to others in the future. We were in cabin 6292, which was on the starboard side and aft, right above the Silk Harvest restaurant. We picked the starboard side to be away from the smoking section that was reported to be on the port side, deck 5.

Overall we liked this cabin. This was a very quiet location, but we could hear our neighbors when they raised their voices. (For some reason we have bad luck with neighbors who argue while on a cruise!!) While it was just the two of us, I think we would have been fine in this cabin with our two young children. I thought the bathroom was great and the balcony was larger than most. The only negative to the cabin was the roof of Silk Harvest, it extents out quite a bit past the balcony. We could not see straight down to the water and it was hard to frame pictures without getting some part of it or the railings in the photo. This would not be a big deal on some cruises, but we took a lot of pictures from our cabin during this Alaskan cruise and we did find it annoying. In the future, we will try to pick a different cabin if sailing to a place where we will take lots of pictures.

(This is my first time posting with photos so I am sorry if it takes me a few times to get it right!)

Here are the photos:

I have a few more but I am not sure if I can post this many in one post. I will put them into the next one.

And this is an example of trying to get a photo of something in the water close to the ship, this did not happen often but it was impossible to get a photo of the small ice without the structure getting in the way.

I hope these help some of you with your planning!
