kylenyc Posted October 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) No there isn't. Waiters are in the theater at the beginning of the performance to take drink orders and bring them to you. Edited October 5, 2013 by kylenyc

kylenyc Posted October 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Ugh....so no drinks during concerts in the theatre? That's gonna suck :( The waiters bring you drinks before the performance. You can order more than one drink to make it through the 1 hr performance. :) Edited October 5, 2013 by kylenyc
rvsullivan Posted October 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2013 No concerts in the theater, and drinks are served, we've been able to get them before the show and if you're near the end of a row or up front sometimes you can get one during. Otherwise, order two and you'll be out of there in 45-60 minutes.
danogg Posted October 5, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Not meaning to sound to like a lush but here's the scenario....I'm booked on a theme cruise with several top music artists. Already inquired about how they will handle the concerts and they said they will have 2 seatings a night in the main theatre...7pm and 10pm...so I'm hoping the show is more than 1 hour long! And from what you are saying, you can only get drinks before the show? How will that apply if you have the unlimited beverage package where you are only allowed 1 drink at a time? Any idea? Oh you must be on one of those chartered music cruises. Order a drink at Magnum's Champagne Bar Deck 6, bring it into the theater which isn't very far. Order another drink from the waiter inside the theater. Good luck. Edited October 5, 2013 by kylenyc
danogg Posted October 5, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Thanks for the info. Was just looking at the deckplan...can you enter Stardust from Deck 6 or do you have to go down to deck 5?

From Magnums, you can walk straight through the casino and into the theatre on Deck 6. Edited October 5, 2013 by kylenyc
rigs32 Posted October 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 5, 2013 The UBP is usually not available on charters. The atrium bar is very close to the Stardust. You can easily get a drink and bring it with you. There is a good chance the shows are only one hour each. The artists need a rest - they can't play hours and hours

Entrances to Stardust are from decks 6 and 7. No entrance (or public spaces of any kind) on deck 5.

rvsullivan Posted October 5, 2013 #13 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Charters are a completely different setup from a "normal" cruise. If it is an entire ship charter (as this one is) they will have things set up as they wish. All the comments above are for a regular cruise. Since on a normal cruise the shows are at 7:30 and 9:30 the times for you package are not that different. Drink packages should be whatever the charter has set up, I doubt they will have the UBP. Good luck.

As I suggested in your other thread , these questions will be much better answered by the company putting together your charter. The rules are very different and this forum will not be of as much help to you.

danogg Posted October 6, 2013 Author #18 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Not a sixthman cruise that we are booked on....we are going on a Reggae cruise organized by Damian Marley. Not sure what the rules will be...waiting to hear back from the promoters. Hubby and I have discussed it and maybe the UBP is way more than what we want anyway...have to give it some more thought if it is available and if not, prob won't make much of a difference anyway. Going for the music...prob won't be idle enough to drink excessively anyways :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
CapCrunch Posted October 30, 2015 #19 Share Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Reviving an old thread to save CC a few bytes! I've been told that "there are no bad seats in the Stardust Theater" (though I've heard there are some bad shows :)). But when I look at the official NCL photos of the theater, it looks like there's some kind of interior wall (sort of along the center aisles) that looks like it in fact would block a good part of your view from the stage if you were in one of the seats along the aisle there. Maybe it's an optical illusion, or just hard to capture in photos, but are there seats with obstructed views? EDIT: Actually, I think I figured out it's not a wall on a center aisle, it's the wall below the side balcony sections, and the photos are taken from a standing position instead of seated , so I think these seats aren't actually obstructed. CruisinMaterial Posted October 30, 2015 #20 Share Posted October 30, 2015 For music charters there really are no bad seats in the Stardust Theater. For some of the charters they even REMOVE the seats in the first six rows for the charter so there's room for a dance floor / standing area. The only bad place to sit would be in the row immediately behind that as people would obstruct your view of the stage. Otherwise, the entire theater has great sight lines of the stage. To the much older posting regarding bars in the theater... while there is no bar inside the theater, the charters I do on ships including the Pearl have a bar setup just outside the theater on Deck 6 starboard side in the alley by the casino. It's the same side as to where the bathroom is located inside the theater as an FYI. :)

Anyone have an idea how many people the theater can accommodate? I don’t know how many people can be seated but I would guess maybe 400 maybe more. We went to a game show there and there were only about 50 people and we only took up a very small area. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
