Dawn Beach vs. any others?

I have always gone to Dawn beach and loved it.

Has anyone been to Dawn, but found a nicer beach at St. Maarten?

 

And if so, what did you like better than Dawn?

I like many beaches on the island better than Dawn. Too many to mention. I find that Dawn beach is usually too rough for my liking. I also do not like the looks of the buildings and what they have taken away from how this beach used to look.

I have been to Dawn a few times but Orient Beach is nicer IMHO. Have cab drop you off at Orange Fever or Kakao Beach club.:)

How far is it from the pier? Is it near Dawn Beach or further away?

10 minutes further down the road from Dawn. Plenty of cabs waiting to take you back to the ship.

Orient is a lovely beach but be prepared for it to be busy in January especially if there are 4 or more ships in port.
