pianogal83 Posted January 4, 2014 #52 Share Posted January 4, 2014 We have sailed the Liberty numerous times as she is our favorite ship. When she relocates to Port Canaveral in April, she will be practically in our backyard! Our most recent trip was the Eastern Caribbean over Thanksgiving week. GREAT cruise! The comedians were outstanding, MDR experience was without fault...even the bread was serving piping hot every night. Josh is one of our favorite CD's. His energy is incredible. Our only complaint was the piano bar which is usually our favorite evening hangout. We spent about 10 minutes there this cruise. We never noticed more than a handful of people there each evening as we passed by going to and from the comedy club. Can't wait to board the Liberty again next month for our favorite Western Caribbean itinerary. :D

SunshineCruiser24 Posted January 4, 2014 #56 Share Posted January 4, 2014 I was on the liberty in December. Loved every minute of it. The ship is clean, the staff is friendly. I liked the shows, I thought the dancers were great, the singers were alright... not my favorite. Every so often the dancers would be dancing and let out a "WOO!". I didn't like it at first, but then you know they must really love their jobs if they get that in to it. We met one of the dancers when she was teaching a disco dance class, she was super sweet. The food was great, in my opinion, but I'm easy to please. Dinner took awhile each time, but I talked to my cruise buddy or brought a book. The waiters/waitresses were all very good. My steward was Pim, and she was cute as a button and kept the cabin nice and clean. My cruising buddy broke the chair in the cabin, and they removed it without making a big deal or embarrassing him over his girth.

Midwestgal Posted January 4, 2014 #60 Share Posted January 4, 2014 We had a great time on her and ad the best group of passengers ever...don't pass up Alchemy bar....it's the best ...the show I thought were not good...food was pretty good as well as the service. Piano bar was fun on one of our night, comedians were decent. Johanna & Edward at Alchemy bar are just the best! Your going to have a blast.....best ship so far for us. Vidimom Posted January 4, 2014 #61 Share Posted January 4, 2014 We are sailing next week which is the 1st week with the new menus:eek: I am a little nervous about them and will let everyone know what we think. I am not expecting much and feel the service will be crazy with the changes. I will post a full review which will also include this being a Premier Casino Cruise as well so everyone with one in the future will know what to expect. emandjennsmom Posted January 11, 2014 #64 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Over the New Year's Cruise... *Lance Montalto --Seriously, if you are not easily offended go to the adult show. This guy is hysterical. My husband said he'd pay to see him. We went to all of his adult shows. They were all different. *Some crazy hypnotist guy that was supposed to just do some evening shows, but due to the weather the other comedian couldn't make it. I think his name was Jacque Rene. It was just okay. It could've been hilarious, but the people he chose wouldn't go along with all of his suggestions. *I can't recall the other two names. They were mediocre. If you have the pleasure of being on a cruise with Carl CeeJay Jones, go see him! He is a riot. We saw him on the Victory and went to all of his shows. emandjennsmom Posted January 11, 2014 #65 Share Posted January 11, 2014 My daughter just remembered one of the other comedians. *Jamie Lisso (*sp) He was funny. His whole show should be interactive with the audience. He was funniest when interacting. I'd go see him again on a ship.

Will be sucking one or two down on January 22!! :) We can attest to its deliciousness.... This is a must stop for us each and every time we are in San Juan yummy! cruisegirl29 Posted January 31, 2014 #69 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Off the liberty last Saturday. Sailed 1-18-14. Comedians: Eddie copone, Tim Kelly?, Thea V (best) & another guy... Sounds like they rotate through them every so often. Great islands! New menu- more choices, 2nd week with new menu & waitstaff said with more choices it takes them way longer. cruisegirl29 Posted January 31, 2014 #70 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Stay away from the verandah deck- 8314 is not quiet! 2 Deck parties (music & dancing till 1am) and deck cleaning & chairs moving the noise is constant. I usually go for a cabin on the lido deck ( forward) or above. Less people noises & quiet!
JustCruiseMe Posted January 31, 2014 #71 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Totally quiet inside cabin 7331. It's a inside in the high rent district and between floors of rooms. Heard no nose at all.
Shipbound Posted January 31, 2014 #72 Share Posted January 31, 2014 I just got off the Liberty yesterday and wish I was still on board. We had a great cruise. The weather was perfect (hot, but that's how I like it) There were no chair hogs and food was really good for the most part. Loved Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana Mexican. The buffets were not great but I had no need for them with the other choices. Anytime dining was perfect for us and we had no problem getting a table and good service. We really enjoyed the comedians. Didn't do any of the shows in the Victoria except for one which was a comedy type show and it was very good. Loved all the ports and as everyone says Half Moon Cay was wonderful, soft white sand and clear blue water. The beach BBQ was an added bonus. It was just a nice relaxing port. We had an inside cabin on the lido deck and I slept like a rock every night and loved the convenience of being forward and on the lido. I will always go for lido or panorama from now on. Booked Glory for Feb while on board and received $300 in OBC with the sale that was on. I see today the price has gone down the $200 that I got in OBC so I may try and change something so I can get the new price with just the $100 for booking on board. The ship was very nice and clean and the crew was always scrubbing something. Feel free to ask any questions :) I believe music power was on the ship if so did you like them because I will be on the Liberty in April.
