bjk5692 Posted October 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2013 So, just a quick question - when I color up at the table on the ship, do I receive chips to cash in at the cashier (as is done in Las Vegas), or do they count your chips, then put that amount on your Players account? Thanks in advance. B
btyko Posted October 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2013 So, just a quick question - when I color up at the table on the ship, do I receive chips to cash in at the cashier (as is done in Las Vegas), or do they count your chips, then put that amount on your Players account? Thanks in advance. B On all ships I have been on, they give you chips in larger denominations. Funny story about coloring up chips: My wife is not a gambler. I always say she would not put two quarters in a slot machine if she found them on the floor. Since I gamble rather big, she cannot stand to watch me play. A few years ago, she walks into the casino with my daughter and waves to me. I hold up one finger, meaning as soon as this roll is finished, I will cash out. At the end of the roll, I push a large amount of chips to the middle of the table to color up. I look over, and she sits down on a chair by a slot machine and holds her hand to her head. I knew exactly what she was thinking. She says to my daughter, "I don't know how much your father just bet, but I am going to kill him." She thought I was betting thousands of dollars on one roll. I still tease her about that.

Helps out at the end of the year if I happen to hit a jackpot and need losses. Funny story about your wife. Mine can't watch me play either. I worked as a casino dealer for a few years and can tell you that we know when you pocket chips and its always recorded because if we are missing chips we could get in trouble.
