G8RH8R Posted January 1, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 1, 2014 It's first come first serve, and booking begins on embarkation day.. If its something you think you will want, you need to book early. I wouldnt recommend going day of because you will likely be disappointed. Most book for the entire cruise. But in all honesty, if you are not 'lounger types' I don't see the appeal. There is no pool in the sanctuary.. It's service and ambiance. You may want to have a tour once inboard before you decide. Good luck! Princess's stated policy regarding Sanctuary is that half of the available loungers will be reserved for daily (or 1/2 day) rentals. The rest may be sold for the entire cruise. On our last cruise (CB Oct. '12) I went to Sanctuary immediately upon boarding only to be told that they were completely booked for the entire cruise. Not being one to take "no" for an answer I questioned the employee on duty and it was eventually revealed that only half of the loungers had been rented for the entire cruise. I asked to speak to the Maitre 'd and by a combination of begging and playing the "suite/elite" card was able to secure a pair of loungers for the duration of the cruise. Dinotoll Posted January 2, 2014 #28 Share Posted January 2, 2014 We booked the Sanctuary cabanas on the Royal for 7 days. It cost 130$ a day - no discount. There where only 4 cabanas available so you have to fasten...no booking is possible in advance . But the service is awesome and for us it was worth the money again.
