lovin2cruize Posted November 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Hi All Could you please tell me where I could stop on my way to the Pan Am Port next week for some six packs of soda, case of water and good wine? I don't know if you can buy this at the port or is there a store I can stop at? I would appreciate all of your help. Thank you!
Rare mom says Posted November 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Are you going straight from the airport or staying over night in a hotel before the cruise? If the latter, there may be someplace close to your hotel.

rendal Posted November 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2013 How much are you allowed to bring on board?
Lard Greystoke Posted November 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2013 When I rented a car last year I just got a couple of 2-liters as I was refueling the car. My suitcase weighed 800 pounds, but it came in handy after a hot day on the islands.
Stinger-pr Posted November 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Hi AllCould you please tell me where I could stop on my way to the Pan Am Port next week for some six packs of soda, case of water and good wine? Like another poster said, it all depends if you're coming in straight from the airport or staying at a hotel. If coming from the airport or staying in the Isla Verde area, ask the taxi driver to stop at Pueblo supermarket, just off the airport. They have a very decent selection of wine as well as anything else you might need. If staying at the Condado area ask them to take you to Supermax supermarket. If in Old San Juan, there is a CVS right in front of the "everybody but Royal Caribbean" pier and a Walgreens and a smaller Supermax a few blocks away. Nothing quite near the Pan-am Pier. lovin2cruize Posted November 10, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Thank you all. We are flying in the day before but I wasn't sure if it was better to stop on the way to the pier or stop on the way to the hotel. We are staying at the Marriott Stellaris the night before.. Stinger-pr Posted November 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2013 If you're staying at the Stellaris then your best bet would br the Supermax in Condado. It's a 5-7 minute cab ride from the hotel. If wine is a priority, then ask the cab driver to stop by Pueblo supermarket upon exiting the airport. MUCH better selection of wines than Supermax. sadie8 Posted November 11, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2013 The Walgreens that is across the street from the Marriott Stellaris in Condado has water, sodas, and some wine. We were able to walk and carry.
OttoCal Posted November 11, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Yes, the walgreens right across from the Marriott is most convenient. They do have wine, water and sunscreen, plus whatever other drugstore bits you may have forgotten to pack. Also a row with decent postcards etc. If the wine in the drugstore isn't your thing, you will see other options along Ashford that you can peruse. Lots of assorted shops. lovin2cruize Posted November 13, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Thank you all. I am very grateful for all your help. Does everybody bring an extra small suitcase to put the soda , water and wine in?
sail7seas Posted November 14, 2013 #12 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Thank you all. I am very grateful for all your help. Does everybody bring an extra small suitcase to put the soda , water and wine in? No, not everybody. We've done more than 90 cruises and have never brought wine, water or soda aboard with us. ;)
Colorado Kat Posted November 14, 2013 #13 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Where the Carnival ships dock there are at least 3 liquor/variety stores within easy walking distance. You could check into the ship, and head on out to get supplies easily.
disneydave Posted November 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 14, 2013 No, not everybody. We've done more than 90 cruises and have never brought wine, water or soda aboard with us. ;) Since most cruise lines don't stock Marcassin. I'll be schlepping mine on.
