aggie_gal Posted November 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2013 We're going on the Magic in January, and we just paid in full for my husband, myself and our 3 year old son. How many sodas can we bring on board between the 3 of us? Can we bring 2 12-packs or 3 12-packs?
KenMo Posted November 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2013 One 12-pack per person. In your case...3.
wrigley80 Posted November 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2013 3....but keep in mind that it doesn't have to be all pop. You can also bring on Juice, Gatorade, Water
Dirkgun Posted November 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2013 If there is a store near by the port.... you can also get off and get back on with another 12 pack for each of you, and pick some up in ports. Sometimes it is easier to buy the bottomless bubbles package.
aggie_gal Posted November 7, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted November 7, 2013 We're driving a whopping 2.5 hours to the port and we have FTTF. I don't mind carrying on drinks, just needed to know how much we're allowed. We were thinking since our son is only 3, we would only be allowed 2 12-packs. I figured since we paid for our son to go, we should be allowed "his allotment" of sodas. Since he doesn't drink sodas, we'll just have his share. :)
Lerin Posted November 8, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 8, 2013 You can bring 36 drinks(water, pop, juice, etc...) plus 2 bottles of wine. Remember you'll have to carry all of it on(plus a 3-year-old)
gatorsfam Posted November 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I've never seen an actual policy, but maybe there is something out there now.. I usually just toss a case of water in a duffle and some sodas in another duffle and call it good. They seem to prefer that since they handle it the same as regular luggage vs. a 12-pack box or case of water.
erby2283 Posted November 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I am a heavy soda drinker and 2 12-packs was plenty for me. I even had some left over and gave them to my steward. I found the lemonade very addicting. :D
Colorado Kat Posted November 8, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 8, 2013 Since you are driving, bring along another rolling bag to put the soda into. Much easier than carrying.

KenMo Posted November 8, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I've never seen an actual policy, but maybe there is something out there now.. Here's the current policy from Carnival's FAQs: Liquor and Beverage Policy On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.
