Are they seerving "cold soups" on the Breakaway?

I had heard that NCL had stopped serving the "Cold Soups" in the dining rooms.

A number of people were going to express their disappointment that these favorite soups were discontinued when they cruised again.

 

Has anyone been on the Breakaway recently and been able to order those refreshing, delicious cold soups again?

 

I hope NCL brings them back! :)

I did not see any in the main dining rooms and I only went to Teppanyaki, Sushi bar, and Moderno which had none. Can't speak of the others.

Gone for several years. When they eviscerated the menus, the soups were excised.

After they removed the cold soups from the MDR menus, didn't they start offering a "cold soup of the day" in the buffet? I'm pretty sure that happened but did they stop that, too?

There are stories about cold soups in the trough. I have no first-hand knowledge.

On the Gem last month.. I belive my DH had cold soups twice in Cagney's at lunch.

I really wish they would bring them back. I always looked forward to having them on the Ships.

I couldn't find the cold fruit soups on the Breakaway buffet in May. I was sad because they are so good!!

I saw Cold soups in the Dawn's buffet last spring. With so many folks asking for them, they should be brought back to the MDRs.

Just off the Breakaway. Cold soups are not on the menu... they have been gone for several years now. Also gone are the shrimp cocktails in the main dining room and no chocolate buffet! Lastly, lobster is not served in the main dining rooms. It is in the buffet on the second night and the lines are long.

Did a galley tour on the Sun last year and inquired about the missing cold soups. Chef informed me to order them and they would prepare them. Did not try it but others asked for specialty items not on the menu (escargot, etc.) and their requests were honored.

Why would Lobster tails be served in the buffet, but not in the MDR? That makes no sense.

The menus have had their bowels removed, and excise duty is now charged on the soup?!

The Elimination of cold soups sucks!

Cold Soups have been a great tradition of cruising throughout the years.

Cruise ships have been one of the few places where the delicious taste of "cold soups" can be found.

About the only cold soup you can find on land is the gaspacho soup in some restaurants.

 

Please NCL....bring them back!! :)
