New York Nana Posted November 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2013 As we plan our many varied vacations on the seas, I would like to suggest we take a moment to think about the many, many HARD WORKING Philippino cruise ship staff members who, at this very moment, may be anxiously awaiting word of how their families at home fared during this devastating event. Many of us here in the US have endured traumatic natural and non-natural disasters. We are confident that our local, state and federal agencies will help to mitigate the damage and suffering - many of these cruise employees may not be as fortunate. If you pray - pray for them. If you don't - remember them at this time of loss in their families and communities so very far, far away.
Anniesails Posted November 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2013 So well put, I was actually thinking about that today. Not only are they frantic for information but will be expected to keep up the smiles during this terrrible time of turmoil. Let's keep them in our prayers. 5326jan Posted November 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Yes, it's got to be a terrible time for them. I can't imagine having to deal with passengers complaining about minutia, when the crew members' families are living through such a disaster. Please be patient and kind if you are cruising soon! :)
