lamchops Posted November 12, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Everything is "least" important to me except "value" and "itinerary". To me, it's a floating hotel but that may change as my bucket list gets ticked off. Edited November 12, 2013 by lamchops
Sadie cruiser Posted November 12, 2013 #28 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Least important: excursions and tourist traps - get me to the nearest beach so I can relax! main dining room - I like to go to all the speciality dining places pool games - yuck! drink packages - silly if you are in port half the time early departure the last day - I don't want to leave!!! Ha.Ha. Most important: (I know it wasn't asked...but...) all the fun kid stuff (rock walls, flow rider, etc.)because I am a "kid" entertainment - bands cleanliness of the ship - pride in maintaining the vessel safety conversation with fellow cruisers and service people late departure -Did I mention I won't leave early...jk

roothy123 Posted November 13, 2013 #31 Share Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Ha. Didn't know there were so many "me's" out there! My answers have already been covered. Just give me a lot of great ports and I'm happy - and usually so tired from tramping around each day that all but dinner and sleep end up being not important! On a cruise last year, I set a personal record by not ever eating in the main dining room, not going to a single show, and not getting in a pool or whirlpool! Glad to hear I'm not as weird as I think..... Edited November 13, 2013 by roothy123
luvscruising2007 Posted November 13, 2013 #32 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Least important are TV's in the room. Don't care if it is flat screen or not. Also don't care what movies are showing or TV shows.
fishywood Posted November 13, 2013 #33 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Least important are TV's in the room. Don't care if it is flat screen or not. Also don't care what movies are showing or TV shows. You just beat me to it! I could care less about any of the bells-and-whistles a "modern" ship is supposed to have in staterooms. I don't want a TV that lets me view my charges, make reservations or order room service--nor do I need on-demand movies. I don't need a fridge, a light-up magnifying mirror or a hair dryer any better than the usual clunky hotel version. I don't need a reusable deluxe cloth laundry bag or shoeshine bag either. Nor any other amusements on my bed after dinner other than the next day's schedule. I am onboard to enjoy the ports and the ship with my fellow travellers. I use my cabin for the "four S's" and not much else.
EdmPair Posted November 13, 2013 #34 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Least important features in choosing a cruise: -- casino -- the TV in the cabin -- colour of the beach sand and carpets -- cruise director and officers (The only people who ever seem to talk to the CD are those who seek him or her out.) -- the length of the wine list (When is some line going to start serving up a good selection of beers?) -- all the stuff in the little fridge of the cabin I am guessing a few more but we each ask different things of a vacation. Cras108er Posted November 15, 2013 #39 Share Posted November 15, 2013 the stinky one! ;) Ha ha, that's a person after my own heart. I don't squat just anywhere. I need "a space to call my own" - even if thousands have "owned it" before me. :D
tip Posted November 15, 2013 #40 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Most important--smoke free balconies Least important--so called formal nights. We are not members of a country club. We have never been members of a country club. We have no desire to become members of a country club. We do not wish to pretend to be members of a country club.;)
