Sparkygirl Posted November 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2013 We received the following communication back from the kids club director onboard our ship when I contacted them about her allergy. We will do everything in our power to accommodate for DD during their sailing. The youth program manager would like to speak to you in person upon arrival to set up registration for DD. - You may can come in and inspect potential dangers for DD while the center is closed ( We will instruct all youth staff not to use balloons for decoration this cruise) - We will give you a program and highlight family activities where latex will be present ( these activities are run by youth staff but outside the center and completely optional) - We will ensure there is no use of balloons or latex INSIDE the kids center for the entire cruise. - Youth staff are trained and qualified to assist with use of epi-pens and first aid in the event of an emergency, however SOP will be to contact the medical center and parents immediately should there be a situation.( a member of the medical team or parent only can administer medicines, youth staff cannot) - We will not use any latex, however some costumes may have latex in them ( this is something we can ask the parents about to ensure there isn’t any danger) - We will see if we can provide you with an Handy phone in the event of an emergency we will have direct contact with you. - Gloves in the kids center are latex free - Toys can be inspected with the parents to rule out any possible dangers. - Finally we will make this a super positive experience for DD and her parents and make them comfortable with leaving DD for program. She will have an excellent time. WOW! I am highly impressed!!!
