fortyniner1340 Posted November 17, 2013 #26 Share Posted November 17, 2013 We love cruising during during Thanksgiving and up to Christmas. 1.) We get to avoid all the traditional holiday business at home. 2.) families with kids don't tend to cruise then so the hot tubs are mostly kid-free. Ken at the beach Posted November 17, 2013 #29 Share Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) With kids in school we have no choice but to travel at Christmas and March break. Great to escape the cold and I can't see spending the extra to go away in the summer when we have warm weather at home. hazeleyez3 Posted November 17, 2013 #30 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Recently, May or late August-October. Weather in Europe is not too hot, and the cities are not as overcrowded as during the summer.
agreenway6 Posted November 18, 2013 #31 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Went on my first cruise this past May and loved it. The price wasn't bad, it was nice and toasty, and a good mix of people. Going to make it a tradition of going as soon as college gets out for our end of the semester vacation! Awesome way to get the summer started.
