Time needed to catch flight from NY pier to JFK

I will be arriving at the NY pier at 0730 on 9/20. I can get a flight at 1130 out of JFK. Any thoughts on this schedule? Will be Carrying our own baggage.

If you read through posted notes on this site, you'll see that your disembarkation can be later than scheduled. We didn't disembark until 9:30 AM and many people said that they would miss their flights! Thankfully our flight was for 2:30, so we were ok. The UN was in session and the President was in town, so many streets were blocked and it took us quite awhile to arrive at LaGuardia! We just had time for a sandwich, and it was time to board after the security checks. It's amazing how the extra hours can vanish! We're flying home around the same time in December.
