MontiD Posted December 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2013 I recently reserved and paid for an excursion for our cruise booked in Alaska 6/27/14. I am wondering if I am able to cancel the excursion and receive a full refund but I can't find any information on refunds of booked/paid shore excursions on the Celebrity site. I booked online and the confirmation email didn't mention it either. I tried calling Celebrity but hung up after being on hold for over 20 min. Does anyone have any information about the policy for refunds? Thanks!!
Lsimon Posted December 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) You can cancel any excursion booked in advance up until something like 4 days prior to the cruise and it will be refunded to the credit card you used to pay for it. After that date you can cancel them on board with the possible exception of excursions on the day after embarkation if that day is a port day. Excursions cancelled on board must be cancelled by the closing time for an excursion by notifying the excursions department on board and turning in your tickets to them. They will issue a credit to your on board account. The closing time, cancellation deadline, will be sometime in the afternoon or evening two days before your port day. For example the closing time, cancellation deadline, for an excursion on a Thursday will have to be cancelled before the closing time on Tuesday afternoon or evening. The exact closing time, deadline, will be published in the excursion order form distributed on the ship. If you can't find that then just check with the excursions desk. If the first full day of your cruise is a port day sometimes the excursions can be cancelled by a deadline on embarkation day and sometimes they can not be cancelled. When we cancelled a prepaid LAN tour, while on the solstice, they credited our Seapass account on board.
