gordylad Posted December 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I know many people only do one cruise per year some are lucky to do more than one but if you could select one destination per year what would they be in order?
upwarduk Posted December 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I know many people only do one cruise per year some are lucky to do more than one but if you could select one destination per year what would they be in order? It would depend on my 'to do list.' Currently: Canada and New England Around Britain Circumnavigation of Australia. All expensive itinaries, so none of them are booked yet, see if prices come down nearer sailing time.

Rare villauk Posted December 17, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Working through my bucket list one cruise at a time and dragging the family along for the fun . We've been very fortunate to have travelled to all continents except from Antarctica, not bad for an eleven year old . Would love to cruise The Panama Canal, Asia (ships looked lovely sitting in Singapore Harbour), The Galápagos Islands and Antarctica; perhaps even return to Hawaii or the west coast of the US by cruise ship next time. Oh dear, just realised my list is endless :p.......better not let my DH see it !

teecee60 Posted December 17, 2013 #16 Share Posted December 17, 2013 A "cruise" through the Rings of Saturn with a port call on Titan to view the sun glinting off lakes of liquid hydrocarbons would be first... ...to Mars to see both the largest volcano AND the largest canyon in the solar system would be a very close second. Lastdance Posted December 17, 2013 #17 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Definitely another that encompasses the Med. Did a land trip to NZ; would love to cruise AUS & NZ, especially South Island. Norway Galapagos Islands Very southern Caribbean - cheaper than Europe(airfare) (My reason for not doing a lot of cruises each year is because of too much food) At least land adventures burn off way more calories. Combining both is wonderful!:)

Pilot70D Posted December 17, 2013 #21 Share Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) If I could take only one cruise per year it would be a twelve month, one lap around around the calendar cruise on either the Connie or the Century. Someone else can figure out how many points that would be under the new Captains Club plan!!! :p:):p Edited December 17, 2013 by Pilot70D
Palm Trees Posted December 17, 2013 #22 Share Posted December 17, 2013 When we DID only one cruise a year, it was always to the Southern Caribbean, most often leaving from San Juan. After several years of Southern Caribbean, it never became boring. Once we could cruise more often, we'll add something different for the second cruise, i.e. Med or Coastal California/Mexico. We are NOT tourists, but are simply travelers. Neither of us enjoys touring much. Again, if we could only do once a year, it's still Caribbean, especially Southern. Antigua is our favorite beach island.
celebrity Posted December 17, 2013 #23 Share Posted December 17, 2013 A Mediterranean cruise. Up until this year I would have voted Southern Caribbean but now that I have sailed the Med, It is hands down the best itinerary I have ever experienced. Can't wait to go again. lynncarol Posted December 17, 2013 #25 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I vote for a Baltic Cruise. It's been my favorite cruise so far. (Although to be fair, we've traveled a lot indep. in Europe, New Zealand and Austrailia).
