phones in cabin ?

I spoke with a rep from carnival yesterday, more to ask about the rates to call home from your cabin, she said that phones are no longer is staterooms, maybe I misunderstood her, did she mean the ABILITY to make a call is no longer there, or that LITERALLLY there aren't any phones ? My god, how would room service be ordered ??? :).

There are phones on the cabins. We paid $1.99 a minute to call home from the cabin. This was on the Conquest on November.

 

This rate was cheaper than the overage minute rate on our Caribbean phone plan from AT&T.

We did not get charged for calls that were busy or didn't otherwise get thru. It is all itemized on the statement.

They are still there & it is so easy to call home. Called to touch base with the kids in OHIO since they were driving down & of course we were all ready on ship ( B2B ). It was to easy & also two cheap. LOL.

Yes, I use the phone all the time. At $1.99 it's a good deal and you don't have to look for a phone while in port.

Yep...Phones in cabin best way to call the states.

$2 bucks a min out on the sea. Good deal.

Do all Carnival ships have the $1.99 a minute for phone calls? My 21 year old is going on her 1st cruise without us. I don't want her to call everyday, but I would be a lot more comfortable if I heard from her a couple of times throughout the week.
