meatball_nyc Posted January 9, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I've always wanted to know: What are those huge white things on ships that look like golf balls on T's? The X Constellation has so many of them. ~robin and brian~ Norwegian Breakaway 2014 Carnival Miracle 2010 Carnival Legend 2006 Every Day at Sea is a Great Day

MsJ Posted January 12, 2014 #14 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Hello, I am confused about this post.We are going on the Breakaway next month from NYC to Florida, private island and Nassau. Did the Breakaway go from NYC this week to the Carribean? I thought it was built to be in NYC all year??????

Aplmac Posted January 12, 2014 #17 Share Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) . I've always wanted to know: What are those huge white things on ships that look like golf balls on T's? Those big white ball-things are probably telecommunications satellite-dishes inside the big white domes (to protect them from the weather) This equipment handles all the ships GPS, email, internet, whatever... ........................................ Here's a few pics of Breakaway at Barbados today -her first visit. . Edited January 12, 2014 by Aplmac
