AmberTeka Posted January 12, 2014 #76 Share Posted January 12, 2014 it is way too loud. The Steel Bands.......oh. I miss them too. they were so...Caribbean. So..You are on a Carnival Cruise..have the drink of the Day thing. Football for us is a must. We don't even sail when Georgia has a game. Him. Not me. I do like the bands or people who play at the Plaza Area on the Dream. Some of them are Darn good!
AmberTeka Posted January 12, 2014 #77 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Bands on Carnival. This is goes under best things ever on a cruise. We were on the Freedom on a cruise to Panama. Where we met to play Trivia was right beside the Casino. The Young guitar player was just packing up to go. No one came to lead our Trivia. And they didn't come.... So people started joking with the Young man to host our Trivia. He could ask any questions he wanted too. ANd he DID. And he was fantastic. He was asking questions about Music and the Caribbean and even got to giving away some of his C.D's for prizes. I laughed at him and the other Trivia players until I cried. From then on..when ever I saw the young man on the ship..he was surrounded by those Trivia Players thanking him for being such a good sport..and for showing us such a good time. A Favorite memory of Carnival for me. why I loved it.
RMcoolX Posted January 12, 2014 #78 Share Posted January 12, 2014 I've never found them to be too loud, but I do agree that they should probably be off when pulling in to ports. It does tend to ruin the experience, especially if it is showing a sitcom. I guess that is yet another benefit to having a balcony.
