However, I like to have an updated booking confirmation that shows the on board credit. You can call Royal and ask them to send you this via email. Sing4you57 Posted January 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Redemptions are applied based on the date of your cruise. So if your cruise is further in the distance it may take a bit longer for your redemption to be posted. If you book direct with Royal, royal can advise, if you book through a Travel Agency you would have you Agent follow up.
parrotfeathers Posted January 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Hope it is okay to hijack this thread since the original question has been answered. Can I use some/all of my points to pay for my GS on explorer cruise next September?
Rare orville99 Posted January 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Hope it is okay to hijack this thread since the original question has been answered. Can I use some/all of my points to pay for my GS on explorer cruise next September? I believe you can, but depending on how you use them, you may not be able to get your balcony discount. If I remember correctly, if you use them for a discount ($50/5,000 points) you're ok, but if you use them as a cruise vacation (i.e. minimum available OV room) they're not combinable. I believe this is correct. I also think there are one or two other redemptions that cannot be combined with a balcony discount. I think one of those is a free companion fare.
