Kendy1961 Posted January 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Has anyone boarded the Independence of the seas out of Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale....if so do you remember what Deck and section of the ship you enter? Reason being as I have a large group with me and many are first time cruisers, our staterooms are all in one section of the ship, and I would like to study the deck plans and know point of entry so that I know which direction I go without hesitation, as some people are oddly anxious about a large ship and I want to (at least appear) know exactly where I am going from the get go. Thanks Edited January 20, 2014 by Kendy1961 Clarification

Thanks You enter on the outside promenade, deck 4.
Spring Valley Posted January 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2014 I believe it is deck 4, the same as the lifeboats, as we entered at the end of the promenade but one floor down, we went up one floor and got our first slice of pizza at Sorrento's!:D Keith

Thanks You have the perfect situation, then. As you enter on Deck 4, make an immediately left turn and sit down in the Boleros lounge. They will think that you know EVERYTHING. It's a great place to sit as your large group gathers.
